Shes A very very nice girl She's been coming here every summer for 2 months a summer. She comes from a very poor section of Belarus, and their chruch has brought her over every year to give her medical and dental care, and she gets to do a lot of fun activities, etc.

She's been coming over for about 8-10 years now I think.

She's no longer in the church program since she's over 16, but the family she's stayed with all this time has brought her over and is helping her with college.

I'm sure you're right. I'm sure a college student would be totally offended if you had alcohol on your breath.

WAIT!! They're helping with COLLEGE expenses!!! Suddenly I'm having flashes of a whole new reason to make sure she gets home safely.

Smashing Pumpkins was ok. The 30 minute long Pink Floyd Cover sucked though. The crowd was pumped, then he went into that really wierd ****ty cover and it just sucked the energy out of the whole crowd. Literally, 20% of the audience left, and the 80% of what was left sat down in their seats. First time the whole concert. Ruined the whole thing for me. Then he played a couple of their least popular songs to finish the concert.

Thats a good idea. Leave the crowd pissed off and completely deflated.

Oh well, it was a night out.

I'll sve my money for Hannah Montana next time. Maybe she'll keep the crowd excited.

I checked out Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday along with everybody else.

    I was pretty impressed.

Seats are right on the field.

I made up for Friday night's disaster saturday night. We bought a new stainless steel grill, brought it home grilled some bbq ribs, and proceeded to drain several bottles of wine, beer and liquor.

Great time had ball all. New grill is awesome. Blows the old grill away. 50,000 BTU's does one hell of a job cooking some meat!

Went to the Poison concert friday night, and what happened to them? Horrible stuff.

If anyone has a good liver, can we possibly look into me getting it? After this "weekend" (wed-sat), mine might have aged 30yrs.

I'd offer Spicoli's, but I'm pretty sure his was pickled years ago.

Geezer's and Twes's probably the same.

And I know mine can't be far from Psorosis(Spelling?)

I was going to post a picture of a trashed liver but what's the point.

It'll just be a red x the next time I look at it.

Watching 5 inches of rain fall in just a couple of hours is pretty freakin' impressive.

    Yesterday was fun.

Some of you may remember that I'm engaged in a minimal maintenance program with my house. It's solid but dinky (930 sq ft) and way too close to the road so within a couple of years one of two things is going to happen - either I do major maintenance and add on another 600-800 square feet plus finish the basement or I bulldoze it and build a new house centered on the property and off the road. I have 11 acres (here - I have more in NC) and 1st shot at another 42 connecting to it when the guy who farms it gets sick of farming (he's in his 70's so that shouldn't be too far off).

Last night I get home about 9:30 and the ceiling in my kitchen is laying on the floor.

The funny thing is, I've noticed cracks in my bathroom ceiling and had pretty much decided to do something in the near future but I hadn't seen any in the kitchen.

Guess I'll have a drywall party this weekend - it was stucco'd into cement and that all fell, not the main ceiling itself so it's very repairable. Just not what I'd planned for the weekend.

That sounds like a lot of fun DK. You should invite Spicoli/Twes over. They love to inhale Drywall Dust.....Or was that some other kind of white powder?

    How's the flooding? Everything Ok?

We have friends in Naples, we were on the phone with them last night, though it was only raining a little at that point.

I call it the White China.

    Mmm mmm good!

And drywalling sucks arse DK, that must have been an odd site to come home too. Would insurance pay for anything? I'm guessing not, but you never know...

Probably not - can't point to anything that caused it. Unless drywall's gone up a LOT since the last time I bought it, it should only run a couple hundred bucks anyway.

Can't say as I'm a big fan of putting that crap up but I have all the tools (except a drywall drill - have to be careful) and I've done it before. And I can rent a hanger for $25.
