It's really not but I appreciate the effort.

I'm struggling to find "interesting" myself.

Ready to call it a week.

Nothing like that hour + commute on a Friday night huh.

    Can't get enough of that.

I discovered Double fiber bread this week. I don't have any problems in that area whatsoever, but the bread was actually very good.

Needless to say, it lives up to its promise as well.

The interstate higway system killed many a small town, especially along Route 66. I saw one yesterday. Very sad.

Small towns suck. Too much boredom trouble to get into, and not enough hot chicks. Just old ladies leering out windows or complaining when you walk through their yard. The local grocery sells a lot of eggs though...

The small town I went to had more boarded up stores than open.

May I submit for your consideration Veedersburg, Indiana? In the 1890s, this town in Fountain County had a dozen hotels, and a population around 2000. It was a hub (Hub City motto) for the railroads. The railroads were killed by the auto. By the 1950s, V'Burg had 1800 people, one motel, and a still vibrant small downtown area. It was still the crossroads of US41 and US136.

When I-74 went thru north of town, the US136 path thru town was dirt-bermed off. Dead ends at each end of town, east-west. Half of the businesses downtown went out of business over the next 15 years.

Yet the town is starting to recover due to an aggressive tax-incentive, business friendly policy which has lured a couple of small factories to the outskirts, with access to I74....a german-owned steel foundry and another one I forget (don't live there anymore).

The current socio-economic oddity for the old salts of the town is that the factories on the outskirts have drawn in some Mexican-American workers....Veedersburg actually has a minority group now.

Kind of funny listening to my 77-yr-old step-mom try to come to terms....the mexican fellow that cuts her brother-in-law's grass "is so polite"...and she's still on that police band scanner every night listening for evidence of general minority-originated rape and mayhem.

Times change. The car culture, not just interstates, affected the landscape of the U.S. in so many ways. Folks from my grandparents' generation could still live and die and never get 50 miles from their hometown.

Hang on. It's still a bumpy ride.
    [~]) ... Cheers! Go Pacers!

I hit a rabbit on my trip to the panhandle. I think all of those kids pushed him over the edge and he killed himself. He wasn't hopping very fast.

Well, I guess the bright side is there are four "lucky" feet now available for keychains.

It's better for everyone when we don't have live rabbits hobbling around on bloody stumps.

Is there anything more egotistical than a rabbit with health insurance.

    I mean really.

Especially when they have those fancy prescription cards and only have to pay $2 per Rx.

    I hate that.

There just isn't enough poon in small towns. When I play loud music out of my grandpa's Mercedes it's a waste when all I get back are nasty stares from old ladies. Wow, that rhymes.

I knew a russian girl at my last 9-5. She and her husband enjoyed snorkleing the Bahamas. He enjoyed taking underwater pix of her swimming...from between her legs and slightly behind her. She enjoyed showing them to a couple of us guys. I enjoyed looking at them.

You should be, the scenery was spectacular and the photography amazing.

She ended up divorced and married to the other fellow she showed the pic to. They are now divorced too.
