Close, actually. Jalapeno string cheese + Peanut Butter + Upland IPA.

    Not necessarily in that order

My sister's new bf was wearing a Reggie Miller jersey today. I am supposed to hate this kid, but... I mean he was wearing a Reggie Miller jersey!

I will never read another Michael Smith article again. Today he said that the crash in the Tour De France where the camera car hit a rider is funny. To make matters worse he even told someone to go play in traffic. And he calls himself a professional journalist... When someone asked if he thought it was funny when a football player got hurt from a blind side chop block to the knee, he said that it was a bit of a stretch to compare. Its cool if you don't like cycling, but as someone whose brother was hit by a car when he was cycling (nothing serious thank God), I just can't believe a professional journalist would find it funny.

these days the phrase "professional journalist" is an oxymoron.

Went to the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe today. Got a ton of autographs, it was pretty awesome. Some of the good ones are Andy Pettitte (my favorite pitcher), Jimmer, Deron Williams, Matt Cassel, John Smoltz, Jeremy Roenick, Digger Phelps, Wes Welker and some others that I can't remember right now. Saw even more guys like Jason Kidd (was so close to getting his autograph), Barkley, Jordan, Tebow, Ray Allen and more.

And not to mention the course is right on Lake Tahoe, which is beautiful. One of my favorite places to go.

Oh and Jimmer is a SMALL 6'2.5" in shoes. I wouldn't think golf shoes add as much height as basketball shoes, but I was surprised at his size. And he doesn't look like the strongest guy. Oh and he is terrible at golf haha. But seeing Deron Williams, who is a big PG, I just can't see Jimmer standing a chance against him players like him.

Best shot of the day that I saw was Afrenee Hardaway. He was on 18 and was about 100 yards away from the green and landed the shot about 3 inches away from the hole. Apparently someone hit a hole in one on 17, but I missed it.

Worst shot was Joey Porter... He was paired with Barkley. His shot on 17 curved way left, goes through trees, over the grandstand, and into a dining area... I didn't see who took the shot, but new the pairing and immediately thought it was Barkley haha.

Is it ethical to "thank" someone in the Random Thoughts thread?

That was just too cool....I'd love to have the opportunity to mix with the guys at a golf event like that.

It was really cool. I didn't expect to enjoy it that much and get that many autographs. Ray Romano was pretty funny, always interacting with the crowd. It was a really relaxed event. I mean I got to see Michael Jordan and was like 10 feet away from him.

Here are some pics, not great quality as they are from my phone.

    Deron Williams:

View of the 18th hole (I believe this is right after Hardaway hit is great shot. Marcus Allen is also in the photo. Not sure where Jerome Bettis is, he was in the group):

The view behind me from where I was standing by the 18th:

I hate sinking $900 into a car I don't like or enjoy driving. I drive too much for that.

Oh, then you'll be driving a Honda CRV too? Actually I sold my Caddie at 164K miles. In many ways I wish I still had her. I wanted a pickup truck 4x4 and the wife demaned practicality. I sorta compromised with the CRV. I hate the seats in that thing....and Ive always sworn I wouldn't own another Honda and there I went and bought this pile of doo doo.

But thanks for the kind words.

oh and my boss taught me a valuable lesson a long time ago. "I'll let you pay $60,000 and drive that Mercedes for 60,000 miles and I'll pay $10,000 and drive it the second 60,000 miles (or more). So far it works.

    It's all in the presentation.

Mrs. Geezer and I were talking and I complained that all of the PU's now had shorter truck beds becasue of the extended and club cabs. Her comment to that was that there were only the two of us now so why should I need that jump seat and that I should just look for a regular cab truck. (I've been argueing this for a loooong time)

So now, I'm thinking of an, F150, a Silverado, or going another way...a GMC Envoy.

As much as I hate this car, I really hate the thought of sinking money into the pieces of junk I see in my price range.

My sis has a beat up Tahoe she wants to sell. I could almost see buying that and sinking the money into fixing her up....I'm betting I could come out ahead.

    Tahoe $1500
    Paint job $2500
    New interior including seats $2000
    Rebuild engine $3000
    Trannie and brakes $2000

    Guestimate $11,000

That's guessing. Need to check with son about the paint job and my mechanic about the engine, trannie, brakes, and exhaust. The interior I know who to get to do that so I can get a guestimate from them too. Hmmm it's a real thought.
My CRV books at about $9200 and I have permission to set it out along S. Meridian Street at our office (SR 135).

Smolly hokes how quickly things change.

Found a CLEAN F-150 XLT Super Club Cab in white. Talked with the salesperson and had a deal in an hour. They have to replace the Nerf bars but I can wait.

    So far....super happy with it.

now all I need is a boat to pull behind it. at least a jon boat for fly fishing or duck hunting
