Thread: Random, Scattered Disturbed Thoughts

I never understood the big deal with the seat up. It can be in two positions, different people like it in one position or the other most of the time, and it's easy to move from one to the other.

Why should it always be kept down, other than the practical matter of keeping the stupid dog from drinking out of the bowl?

You go in there, notice where it is, move it where you want it to be. Not hard.

I figured you'd just go out on that back deck and go over the rails.
You mean he doesn't pee out the front door towards the church? Just for show?

I've never figured out why women don't check - far better to leave the seat up than to have it down when you pee.

Speaking of which, one of my guide's for happpiness is:

Guys - wipe up your splash-back. Women are always asking me why guys miss. I have to explain, "We don't miss - it's splashback." But wipe it up - she'll be happier AND she'll think you have better aim.

When I re-do my house I'm putting in a urinal.

I am right there with you guys. Speaking from experience just nod your head, get the splashback and it will make for a much smoother night.

I toured a house with a client last year the basement of which was being re-modeled. A center island was being added which functioned as a bar. It was an open room with the bar in the center and on one wall they had plumbed in a urinal. I had the feeling this was intended to be a game room for men only. Pool table, foosball, a bar, a poker table, and a urinal.

Mrs G has a rain-gauge in her front garden....capacity of 6". Yesterday evening I noticed it was overflowing so the nice guy in me went out in the driving rain and emptied it. Later I noted that it had a little over 1 1/2 inches of water in it. Im guessing that in the last couple of days we've gotten well over 8" of rain here.

I've had a few psycho ones. I always try to get them to break up with me - treat 'em like crap for a while until I get dumped. It makes life much simpler.

But every now and then you get a true basket case. About 10 years ago I started going out with one. Within 3 weeks cookware started showing up in my house. Inside of a month she'd rearranged all my cupboards and had pictures hanging on the walls. By this time the alarm bells that had started ringing had become tornado sirens.

I spent the next 5 months trying to get her to dump me. No go. I finally had to ditch her. I'm allergic to the bad breakup and apparently she still felt encouraged because she kept calling me, e-mails, all that. Took at least a year for that to end.

Last summer a friend finally convinces me to sign up for Facebook. Within 2 weeks she sends a friend request. OK - what harm can that do, right? Immediately after I accept I get this message, "Would you like to have dinner with me sometime?"

    My reply, "No." Nothing else.

Then she asked another friend of mine why I didn't want to go out with her. I told him to tell her that I said, "Been there, done that."

    Crazy.

In my experience they are all crazy. Some are just more crazy or slightly less crazy than the others.

I generally find that the only sane girls are the ones that you don't date. These are the ones you become friends with and then you go, "What the hell? Why are girls so crazy?" to them.

You know... I'm picking up a real downer vibe for a Friday.

I think you guys need to slap yourselves out of it.

    Buck up.

All day yesterday, I felt like it was Friday. Now today feels like a Monday.

I really need to stop drinking so much.

I forgot to mention once these friends that are girls are asked that question they will say something along the lines of, "Don't worry you'll find someone that eventually works for you." Which is nice to hear at the time, but remember this is a LIE. Take it only as a confidence builder from a good friend, do not place stock in it.

This HAS been a long freaking week.

The good news for you is when you haul your drunken @ss out of bed for work "Tuesday morning" you'll realize you can save the calling in sick for a few more days.

Don't worry - if you start to date one of these "sane girls" you'll find she's nuts too.

It's a matter of degree anyway. Some are less crazed and you can get along with them fairly well when you aren't horizontal and superimposed. Some are stalkers. Some slice off your unit and chuck it in the microwave.

I'm sure women think guys are insane - always remember that's the opinion of a crazy person.

Unfortunately I will be up tomorrow earlier than I am all week. (I don't have to be at work until noon, so I sleep til 1130, but I don't go to bed until 4 so....) I have a golf tournament that tees off at 9.

Then after that I will be driving about an hour and a half to Ohio, for a grad party that's going to be a **** show.

Working 50hrs a week is starting to get really old. I've been doing it for about 5mons now.

Only single people sit around talking like that.

The rest of us can't remember what that was like.
