I nominate Tom's post for post of the year.

If I had to go away for awhile and could only take one post with me...

    This would be it.

I actually have to wait until Saturday to climb into a tree, but I am comforted by the seasons opening tomorrow.

WOW, that sucks geezer, somebody should string that flocker up by the balls. I suggest contacting the poster directly above you.

I bet the sellers (not to mention you realtor folks) are absolutely sick!

    That does suck Geezer.

It's deadbeats like that buying houses and allowed to buy houses they have no intention or capacity to pay for that have created this latest **** sandwich the rest of us are having to take a bite of.

Here's to you drowning your sorrows with a muzzy broadhead some time soon.

Or a hand whittled broadhead and walnut arrow.

I imagine your job isn't a lot of fun right now at times.

Of course the Muzzy is for use on a deer... not yourself.

    Just wanted to clarify.

Same to you. I won't be gettin' out till later on in October. I do have a weekend planned with about 4 friends to hunt down at Hovey Lake the week before shotgun season. That could end up being a massacre.

By the way, you ever used one of these?

I have a friend that swears by it and another that says it's useless. I'm thinking about giving it a whirl (literally) should the opportunity arise this year...

I aim to entertain! I'd put it in my sig, but some might find offense. She seems to be a passenger on quite a bumpy road.

    I have not used that.

I use a wire zip saw and open up the pelvic bone (or whatever you call that) which works pretty well.

All I know is I'm not going for a walk in the woods today. Saw a couple of folks carrying bows and I'd swear they just picked them up for the 1st time today.

    Well, today sucks.......

My wife was just notified that her job is probably going to be moved or eliminated sometime in the next 6-9 months.

And my job is on shaky ground as well.......

Things could get very bad for the gyron household soon.

    Hey Spicoli,

We have used it and it's great. My family and I took 25 deer last year (the game warden suggested it), and we gave 19 to Hunters for the Hungry. The buttplug was used on each one with great success.

Indyblue47 aka Kydeerhunter....you can google it!

Good luck hunting! I won't be going down until November, but I'll be there 20 days.

Thanks indyblue . . . I'm gonna try it out.

Reminds me of the first deer I ever had to field dress many moons ago. I did a decent job (or so I thought) until I got to the poop chute. Let's just say there was some difficulty getting it cut out.

So I get finished, check the deer in, and take it to the processor. The guy at the processor comes out and starts to help unload the deer. He seemed like a pretty serious guy; he didn't say much and was pretty much impersonable. Anyway, he kind of took a look at the deer and then grabbed the hind legs to slide it out of the back of the truck. He stop for about 4 seconds studying the back side, looks up at us, and yells "What happened to its a$$hole!!"

    Good times.

Keep the faith Gyron. Things happen for a reason, and it always works out in the end.

Or, you could move back to the Hoosier state. The house next to me is for sale. Imagine the possibilities.

LOL, thanks for injecting some humor for me. When my wife found out today and sent me a text message, it felt like I just got hit with a brick wall.

On a side note....I was going to ask Geezer if he wanted to sell a house in North Carolina....

Also, Spicoli, I have a 2 year old son that I would hope not to permanently damage mentally by moving in next door to "The naked man with the dead horses(he calls everything a horse right now) hanging from the trees".......

Now, now, there are no trees around me; and I keep the dead horses about 7 counties away. So, my offer still stands.

Also, I had to go through a situation where my job was in jeopardy because the government basically shut the firm down. (Thanks Enron!) That was one of the most stressful things I've ever been through, so I know it's not good times. Sometimes stuff can end up being a blessing in disguise, and I wouldn't be surprised if your wife (or even both of you) are in better positions a year from now. Good things happen to good people.
