I have owned several Kimber .45s, a couple of Colt .45's, and Sigs. I've had 2 Beretta 9 mms and numerous .380s but this Browning High Power 9mm is the sweetest gun I have owned. ALMOST on par with the Kimber .45 for accuracy but half the price of a Kimber and easier to take down.
I'll give it a 4.5 star rating (down a half star because as a new gun the spring is so strong it makes it difficult to retract the slide.

People are seriously complaining that the local news focused on the severe weather that pounded that state all because it interrupted precious football?

The wife says this has been going on in Europe for 40-50 years and is nothing new. She lived in Germany for two years back in the '70s and it was prominent then. The lack of good jobs in the south of Europe and the Mediterrainian area is why so many Middle-easterners are found in France and England.

    WTF ??

    http://www.mnn.com/family/protection...l-fire-alarms#

When guests book a room at the Icehotel, they probably aren't concerned about the building becoming a raging inferno. However, just in case, the frozen hotspot now boasts smoke detectors, as ordered by housing authorities.

I received a referral this morning for someone who has a kid moving to Indy. They are coming in from out of town Friday to look at houses. Now the interesting thing. When on the phone with prospective clients I try to find common grounds and build trust relationships thru commonality. Well with this couple it took about 2 minutes for us to discover that they live in the little town where my son teaches and in fact they live across the street from his school building. An instant bond was created and they now are excited to have me show them and THEIR son homes in the Indy area.
A little bit of listening and questioning goes a looooong way to building trust.

Yesterday, for the third time, out of the blue a stranger stopped me to tell me how much I look like Colonel Sanders. I'm either going to have to shave off the goatee or buy a chicken ranch.

I'm not able to access any of my email accounts on my iPad for about the last week. I get a message telling me either my username or my password is wrong. I've tried turning off the WI-FI and just going cellular and I've tried changing my password with no luck. Any ideas?

Thought this was interesting, State Senator Lonnie Johnson from the 2nd district's introduced a bill that makes the penalty for assaulting a referee/umpire the same as a police officer or firefighter or whatever other public service official.

so i'm watching the news and i see this weather on the east coast plaguing my dear friends still living there. and i just laugh. and i dont feel bad about it.

i love california. you know what our weather problem is right now? its too sunny. we need rain. its january 3rd, i'm gonna go play basketball at the park in shorts and a tshirt later today. oh i do not miss that frigid weather at all. and if i did like snow, i'd drive to Tahoe and enjoy better skiing than pretty much anywhere on the east coast.

It sucks to see things like that. Growing up in that environment I hated seeing my mom get hit and when I tried to intervene I would get hit. I was tall for a sixth grader a six feet tall but the "man" that my mom was with was a golden gloves boxer in his days and he knew to give me a good liver shot to take me down. At age 15 she finally kicked the dude out and we threw all of his belongings in the front yard and my mom told us to pee on his clothes. Shortly after that she met a nice man and they married a year later and still together today. I came home on leave from the Army after a few years in and ran into the douche bag in a k-mart parking lot. He tried to be cool and act like I was friendly with him. I don't know what came over me because I am far from a violent person but I said nothing and walked up and drilled the guy as hard as I could and knocked his *** out cold. I hit him hard enough to break my hand. Since then I have never seen him again. He didn't even show up at my sister and his daughter's wedding. Part of me always wanted to apologize to him but the other part of me thinks he deserved it for the years of him hitting me and my mom.

Scouring the internet trying to line up Geezerette's flight to Germany (or close by) for the spring/summer semester at Freiberg. Funny how Expedia cannot get you to Basel, Switzerland but everybody else can. (about $1200 round trip)

I have to actually go to the water company in the town we just bought our home in to get things set up. Of course the hours are 8-5. Either i have become too dependent on the ease of the internet/phone service or they need to move forward a century. I vote for them!

Woo Hoo!! Mrs Geezer has decided she is going to accompany Geezerette and go to Germany next month. True she will only be there for a week, but that is a week to myself!! Seven whole days of not hearing about what I am eating, what a blessing!

Geezerette will be staying for nearly 6 mos. but it's that one week I am looking forward to!!

They can do away with any comercial that has car horns or sirens on the radio please. Two different damn commercials today while driving and I'm looking around to see where the emergency vehicle is or why someone is honking at me.
