Default The 2004 Annual PD Forum Awards * The Nominees Are In!!

Since Pacerfanforlife (aka PFFL), the original host of the Forum Awards, is no longer among us, I will assume his role of host to organize the annual PD Forum Awards.

Here are the categories:

Most Valuable Poster - This is who you think was the best overall poster this season. Who made the best posts? Who had the most insight?

Best Arm-Chair Coach - Who demonstrated the most knowledge about the game this season? Who knew how to break down the plays and the strategies, and come up with his own?

Rookie Poster of the Year - We had a lot of new posters this year. Who was the best of the bunch? Who was the MVP of the new guys?

Most Improved Poster - This award goes to someone who has gone from lurker or light poster, and really come into his own to become a regular contributing member to the forum.

Most Humorous Poster - Who do you think was the funniest poster this season?

Most Pessimistic Poster - Who had the most gloom and doom? Who knew back in October we'd lose?

Most Fanatical Poster - Who's the most fanatical Pacer fan? Who's done the most to show his Pacer Pride?

Best Foreigner - Who was the best poster here that roots for bad guys?

Poster You Love to Hate - Pretty self-explanatory. Who do you most love to hate?

Most Argumentative Poster - This can be either who you feel argues the most, or who you argue with the most.

HOW THIS WORKS:

From now until next weekend, you can send me a PM with the names of those you wish to nominate. Anyone is welcome to send who they feel should be nominated for all categories. You can send up to 10 names per category if you wish. This is not the vote to see who wins. This is to determine who gets nominated.

Keeping with tradition, the host is exempt from any and all awards. So don't vote for me; I am ineligible.

Next Sunday, I will take the top 5 most voted names for each category, and on Monday will announce the Official 2004 Annual PD Forum Award Nominees.

Once the Nominees have been announced, I will make a poll for the first category, giving everyone 24 hours to submit their vote for the winner. Then, the winner will be declared, and I will then create a new poll for the next category, and we'll repeat this every weekday (don't want to lose votes because it's the weekend) until we've ran through all the categories.

The time to submit who you want to be nominated begins right now. And don't forget to send in multiple names for each category! The idea is to trim it DOWN to 5 people per category, so don't be shy with names!

I would really like to win something this year, Hicks. So, can we have a Lamest Poster of the Year category. I think I might have a chance!

Keep your nominations to yourselves, people!

And I'm sorry, your "extra" categories will not be added.

It is a lot more difficult than you might think. I had to go down the memberlist and even then it was tough.

No fooling.

For us rookies, it might be nice if there was a list of the other rookies. You were all new to me this season.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Don't forget about be for most "normal" poster, lol. Could I be a canidate for foreign poster of the year as well, since I live outside of Indiana? ed: . I'll give you my nominations in a little bit.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Well, if we're really gonna just throw out obscure categories, I say we should have a Most Pacemate-Obsessed Fan. I'd have thought I'd have a pretty good shot at it, until I saw about 60% of MagicRat's recap was Pacemate pictures.

Well, the official breakdown is as follows.....

Game or related 60.63%
Pacemates 15.75%
Wacky Comedy 23.62%

Since your brain processed it at about 60% Pacemates, I'll make sure to put you on my ballot for "Most Pacemate Obsessed"....... :P

Of course, I would've left out Pacemates entirely , but I didn't want any complaints from TheSauceMaster. I'm still waiting for his post requesting all Pacemates pictures with "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Motley Crue for the music......

Either way, I'm going to hunt you all down, drag Peck with me, yell "Brad Miller is a sissy girl!", and leave you to deal with him.
