It's time to reveal the nicknames I've given the guys. This is something I actually learned in Orlando. Those guys did it so I just carried that over here and everybody gets a kick out of it. It's a fun way to play around with guys.
Jamaal Tinsley is either Kirk Franklin the singer, or Gary Brackett, linebacker for the Colts
Kareem Rush is Wayne Brady, Brian McKnight or Michael Cage – he doesn't like that one, though, because of the hair.
Andre Owens is Ralphie because we say he looks like a dog and Ralphie's a common dog name.
Danny is Hollywood by the way he dresses and pretty much his fashion sense. He thinks he's Hollywood.
Mike Dunleavy is Steve Novak of the Houston Rockets, who I played with in college. They look identical.
David Harrison is Sinbad or Lenny Kravitz.
Ike Diogu is Sean Kingston, the rapper/musician.
Marquis Daniels is Devin Hester or Flava flav.
And Stephen Graham looks like Joey Graham.
I don't have one a good one for Jeff or for Murph, either. And I really don't have one for Flip because he's new to the team. Some of these nicknames can get personal. And as you can see, some aren't the best of nicknames. Once Flip gets acclimated to the team a little bit more he's going to get one. It can take awhile. I haven't come up with one for Jeff or Troy yet and Stephen is just his brother. And I don't have one for Shawne Williams.
They have some nicknames for me, too, but too many to really list. They've called me everybody from Peyton Manning to Eli Manning to every quarterback, every musician, every white basketball player. I hear Dennis the Menace from Jamaal, but that's more because I play jokes on the guys.
