What if you had one of two choices.

Lose the Pacers if you knew 100% they would win a championship in their new home

Or Keep the Pacers despite the fact you know they will never win a championship here.

I would consider myself and orphan of the team if they move.

Keep them in Indy no matter what or they will be dead to me.

That is a messed up question. There is no reason they could not win it all here. The Pacers will always be the INDIANA PACERS in my eyes.

I am an Indiana Pacers fan....I am a fan when they win, I'm a fan when they lose. Not a good question.

I would hate for the Pacers to move, and I don't consider it a possibility, but if they did move, I would follow them there. I am a Pacers fan for life and as much as I would hate to have to say St. Louis Pacers or San Diego Pacers, I still would.

I wouldn't be following the NBA if the Pacers moved, so the point is moot.

    Las Vegas Pacers ftw! Woohoo!!

Sorry...maybe it's because I never lived in Indy for that long. I'm more of a Pacers than Indiana fan. And my number one goal as a fan is a championship. If we could get that then I'm cool with the Pacers not being in Indy.

This is a strange question. They say if you truly love something or someone you will "let them go"

Not sure that applies to the Pacers though

I'm 1200 miles away so it really doesn't matter to me if the Pacers stay in Indy or go elsewhere unless they were moving to the Tampa area. That I would be wholeheartedly for.

Move or stay I will be a fan anyway.

I take it the gist of the question is if they stay then ownership and management will prioritize a championship too far down the list to make it a reality.... versus.... Selling to new owners who would priortize a championship to the point of 'getting it done' (maybe parlaying the honeymoon period in their new town as the financial basis to lay the groundwork for it)???

In sports, if you aren't in it to win a championship then you might as well get out. As long as you're making an honest effort to win a championship, and utilizing the best people to help bring that vision to life, the rest will fall into place.

...If that is the scenario you're laying out then I suppose my vote is to let them go.

...But I'd hope a better option would be a change in vision at the top and the team staying with a chance to win the trophy.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.
