    Default Harrison fined & suspended

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3281773

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers have suspended center David Harrison for one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

The Pacers gave no reason for the suspension, but the announcement Friday comes a day after Harrison was involved in a confrontation late in a 108-97 loss to San Antonio. Harrison was called for a technical as he yelled at an official after being hit in the face by Spurs forward Matt Bonner.
According to The Indianapolis Star, Harrison was told to leave the court by a member of the team. While doing so, he continued to mouth expletives in Bonner's direction.

"I subbed for him and somebody on the bench made a decision to send him to the locker room; it wasn't me," Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said, according to The Star. "You shouldn't get technical fouls if you're David Harrison. I subbed for him, so his night was over."

The Star said it quoted O'Brien before Harrison's locker room meltdown came to light.

The Pacers said Harrison also was fined and would sit out Saturday's game at Cleveland.

Harrison was suspended for five games in January for violating the league's anti-drug program.
I wish they'd have just cut him instead.

So, how'd he end up needing stitches in his forehead ? Did he
head-butt the locker room wall or what....?

Pacers probably figure there will be fewer legal issues with just letting him go after the season then to cut him now. It is probably almost impossible for a team to just cut a player after he was suspended for drug use.

Ah, I didn't see it buried in the other thread. I even looked for it beforehand.
