Default Pistons to acquire Theo Ratliff

Late birthday present to me. I actually saw him play for minnesota, he can still blocks shots like the theo of old, an that's really all we need.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

He still gets 2 blocks per game and shoots a solid FG%. So long as he can still block shots and finish, that's all I want.

Pretty much. I didn't want a guy that's been out of basketball for a year anyway. Dale lost my support when he was fumbling the basketball away under the rim in last year's ECF. He used to dunk those, and he couldn't even get the ball over the rim.

So the pistons get theo ratliff who has been in the nba for the past year, but has spent it on the bench or injuried.

He's our 14th man. He isn't supposed to get people excited.

For the record though, He's started 6 games this season, including a 14-point, 7 rebound 6 block performance at Sacramento.

I just want to have one more big guy to make people think about going to the basket. That's all.

I didn't realize it was your decision.

    I'm seeing this...

    Davis update
Former Piston Dale Davis could re-sign with the Pistons as early as Thursday, according to his agent.
"We're in pretty serious talks with them," said Chubby Wells, Davis' agent. "We hope to have something done soon."
Davis needs to sign with a team by the end of this week in order to be eligible for the playoff roster.
"He'll be signed in time for that," Wells said.
The Pistons had some interest in Jamaal Magliore after he was waived by the New Jersey Nets, but the former All-Star chose to sign with the Dallas Mavericks where he'll play behind Erick Dampier. One of the reasons Magliore passed on the Pistons was because Detroit refused to give him any assurances about playing time. Davis' role will be similar to the one he played last season in which he was used in special situations.

Theo could end up being a huge addition for the Pistons. Much better than Dale Davis would be.

Theo doesn't have to do jack for the Pistons until the playoffs. Thats what they need him for. He is more than capable of having some pretty good games. He is still one of the best shot blockers in this league even if he comes off the bench.

Theo won't make the Pistons any better than the Celtics or Cavs but come playoff time he can help the Pistons get past the Celtics or Cavs.

Geez....the only real moves that any team has made this season has been from teams that are at the top of the heap.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Reminds me of baseball season in that way. A very definitive buyer/seller market.
