It's worthless if Golden State doesn't want him, though:

But I thought it was interesting that it fit (per CBA).

well obviously d_c should weigh in on this but i get the feeling that they're not interested in this as the murphy/dunleavy, foyle and richardson deals were all about cutting significant amounts of salary. they lose a lot of size with pietrus, al and o'bryant leaving.
    This is the darkest timeline.

The more I think about it, the more I don't like it.

3 expiring contracts and Al Harrington for JO?

    Hell no.

Yeah, I just don't see this one happening.

Carter is 31 and has big money coming his way for another 3 years. From an age perspective, he doesn't fit in with the younger core of the Warriors.

If his deal was shorter, I could definitely see the Warriors trying to make a quick run with him, Baron and Jackson, but he just doesn't fit in the long range plans of GS, I don't think.

For the Pacers, I just don't see the point of getting nothing but cap relief and Harrington, who makes some sizable money himself for an additional 2 years. Doesn't make much sense for Indy, either.

You're kidding me. As a Pacers fan I think it's a good trade for US. What have we all been wanting? Expiring contracts and a young player for JO. Now Al isn't that young player, but he's not old and he'd be one of our top rotation players at the 4.

I don't want Al back. I was glad to see him go. He's a black hole and not nearly as good as he thinks he is, and not nearly as good as a healthy JO.

He's also not "young" in the sense I was referring to, and has already had major surgery.

    I repeat: hell no.

I'd take a healthy Al and expirings over the JO we currently have any day of the week...
