    Default J.O. to Golden State?

A friend of mine just called me and said that Kravitz was talking about a J.O for Pietrus, Harrington, and O'Bryant rumor. Anybody heard anything about this or is Kravitz just stirring the pot? Or perhaps more appropriately, smoking the pot?

    I have 3 commentsL

1 ) This doesn't sound very Kravitz-like. Wasn't he the one that was advocating rebuilding? How do we do that with Harrington?

2 ) Pietrus and O'Bryant are going to be UFAs after this offseason.....which would come down to a JONeal for Harrington trade.....sorry...I pass on this.

3 ) If you have friends that are feeding you Trade suggestions like this, you should get new friends or ask them to join RealGM and start posting their rumors there

    That won't happen.

It's a poor return for the Pacers and the Warriors really can't afford Jermaine's contract next year.

    1) The Warriors need tons of cap space after this season to resign both Biedrins and Ellis. No way do they trade 2 expirings for JO's massive deal, at the direct expense of their two young stars.

    2) JO would be like the 4th option.

    3) It's just a rumor.

This is something he was talking about on his radio show.

Sorry. No link. This site has had plenty of "I heard it on the radio" rumors to last a lifetime. You may be legit, Smooth but your source doesn't sound legit to me.

Maybe Magic Rat is taping the show and can save Smooth's thread.

It only makes sense if JO convinces the Warriors he'll opt out this summer while trying to push them further into the playoffs this year when he gets back.

Let's not get upset at Smooth just yet.

    1) Kravitz is a known quantity and everyone in Indy (and do they stream yet too?) can hear the show. We should look for confirmation first rather than assuming crackpot. This isn't something that can't be found out you'd think.

    2) Good chance from the wording that Bob was saying HIS IDEA, not a rumor he heard. If that's the case then it's pretty clear why it makes no sense.

The Jersey Johnny show just refered to this deal and has called it a "rumor" but they are going to look into it further. So it has been put out there somehow but it is possible it is still a product of the voices in Kravitz's head.

If you can, tune in with the link from Mal to possibly hear more.

Lets just bring back the entire 99/2000 Pacers team. They'd probably be pretty competitive in comparison to what we have now.

I just tried to plug this into the trade machine and apparently the Warriors need to add over $3mm more to make it work.

I shuddered when I read the alleged trade proposal. Please, I beg of thee, no more Al Harrington.

By CBA rules, it would need to be one or more contracts totally around 3.1 million dollars. I think a pick would be appropriate on top of that.

I don't hate this deal like I hate the deals mentioned in the "Portland is after Danny" thread. Patrick O'Bryant hasn't done crap in the league, but then again he hasn't played. Pietrus doesn't help us. If we haven't already figured out that Al Harrington isn't going to help us then we need to get some new TPTB.

I'd say screw O'Bryant and I'd see if Mullin would take back Ike and see if he'd be interested in Shawne Williams along with J.O. and see if we can snag Monta Ellis (not that exact combination of players but you get my drift). Mullin might bite since he knows Ellis is due to be a free agent. Any 6'3" guy that can average 18 points shooting 50% from the field and run faster than Tony Parker is a player I want on my team. Of course we'd have to like our chances of being able to sign him.

None of that is happening. Everything from the Pacers taking back Harrington to the Warriors trading Ellis this year.

At this point I think I'd rather have Al here than JO, at least Al plays right? plus he gets paid about 20 million less... Add in Pietrus and whoever and well, this is addition by subtraction of huge money owed to JO.. get r done Donnie/Larry or whoever is trying to be captain of this sinking ship.

Man, I would love for JO to be dealt to Golden State for a package centered around Brandan Wright, pick(s), salary filler. Can Adonal Foyle's contract be traded?

I'm going to avoid putting out more fires because someone seems unhappy about it, but I'll just say that (by rule) Foyle's contract can't be traded. Any player who gets bought out can no longer be traded, even though said player is still on the team's payroll.
