    Default 2008 NFL Off-season

Didn't see a thread to just post random signings/cuts/whatnot. Figure those will start adding up soon.

    Raiders re-signed Justin Fargas today.

It looks like Chad Johnson is staying in Cincinnati and Shockey is staying with the Giants...all per rotoworld.com. No surprise the Raiders are retaining Huggy Bear Jr., but I fully expect him to lose his job this summer to the more talented Michael Bush.

I see this thread's gotten a lot of use.

How bout the Patriots telling Jonathan Vilma he can seek a trade to ANY team except the Patriots. I could understand if they just said not within the division, but they specifically said NE.

Theres been bad blood between the Pats and Jets long before spygate so it is not a surprise. The Pats probably wouldn't have shown any interest in Vilma because he doesn't fit into a 3-4 defense at all...which is actually the reason why the Jets are shopping him (Jets run a 3-4). Vilma and Robertson look completely lost playing in a 3-4..it's actually funny. Still, put either of those guys in a 4-3 on another team and I guarantee you a pro bowl year.

Also, Zach Thomas was signed by the Cowboys. Good signing..he'll fit in well at their MLB spot..although I suspect he'll come out on 3rd downs because he's horrible in pass coverage.

Chiefs cut Eddie Kennison. THAT's a guy I'd have a lot of interest in.

Aqib Talib will most likely take his place for the Pats and they won't miss a beat.

In '96 there was a lot of talk the Colts would get him, but St. Louis took him a pick before us. We got stuck with Marvin Harrison instead.

Looks like Jason Taylor will be available in a trade. He would be a huge acquisition for any team.

    Berrian signed with the Vikings.

Lance Briggs resigned with the Bears.

and Marcus Stroud signed with the Bills.

    all per rotoworld.com

I know the Bears WRs stunk last season, but who is sucky Grossman going to throw to now? Muhammad is gone; Berrian is gone...I really don't think Hester is a viable option all season long, every play of the game.

Michael Turner signs with the Atlanta Falcons.

Good move by Atlanta there. San Diego had to know they couldn't keep him behind Tomlinson forever.

This probably means Warrick Dunn's getting cut. Apparently if that happen Dunn wants to come to Indy. This according to the NFL Network, via Stampede Blue.

Not to knock Stampede Blue, but I wish I could find a credible news outlet link with Dunn mentioning wanting to come to Indy.
