    Default Memphis/Indy Deal

What do you guys think, I wrote this from the Pacers perspective...

    Memphis Trades

    Hakim Warrick
    Mike Miller
    Brian Cardinal
    Kyle Lowry

    Indiana Trades

    Troy Murphy
    Kareem Rush
    Marquis Daniels
    Ike Diogu

A bit unrealistic, or is it? We give up Diogu in this deal, but we also get the young prospect of Lowry. We get a lot deeper with the addition of Mike Miller who would fit in perfectly as our 6th man. Warrick would also be a good, athletic addition to our lineup. I know the Grizz are looking to get rid of Cardinal and are also trying to thin their PG rotation and deal Lowry, so I think they would be all for Diogu going with their youth movement. We lose Rush, but he is probably leaving this summer anyway. Daniels is expendable since we get Miller.

I know Memphis say they strictly was expiring contracts, so I'm not sure if they would do this, but I like the idea. You guys get good a young prospect in Diogu who has shown flashes of being a very solid big. You also unload the good-for-nothing Cardinal, but also take Murphy in his place. But at least he produces.

I'm not sure if it would work.. Too lazy to try it right now.. =)

But I would like something like this:

    Mike Miller

    for

    Harrison
    and
    Daniels

    =)

It's pretty much in the league of being unrealistic.

The Grizz just gave away Pau Gasol to shed his contract. In fact, they DIDN'T WANT Lamar Odom (a very good player with good value) because they didn't want any additional big salary.

It's therefore highly unlikely they'd do any trade with a salary like Troy Murphy coming back the other way. The Grizz basically said they don't want players like Gasol and Odom due to their contracts, so it's rather unlikely they'd want anything to do with Troy Murphy and his sizable deal.
