    Default "Quadrant of the Hopeless"

YAY! We're bad and old .

This is an incredibly interesting look at all the teams in the League in terms of "age" and winning percentage. This really is fascinating and the general conclusion is that older teams tend to be better. And the current success of the Portland team (current "average age" of 23.8) is completely unprecedented.

We were one of four teams to finish in the "Quadrant of the Hopeless" last season. It looks like we've improved this year thus far, getting slightly "young"er and slightly "good"er...but we're still one of only four teams (Miami, Clips, Jersey and Indy) that fall into the worst possible category.

    Yippy skippy.

This is indeed a very interesting analysis - thanks for posting.

I'm guessing a team might find this useful when targeting other teams as
    potential trade partners?

And all three of those teams are in a better position than we are:

    - Miami: Has a young superstar to rebuild around (after Shaq's massive contract comes off the books); won a championship recently.
    - Clips: Lost arguably their two best players for the season, and should get them back next season.
    - NJ: Has more talent.
