Default Bynum is the key to JO trade!!!

    Hear me out, please...

The sticking point seemed to be Bynum why Pacers wouldnt trade JO to the Lakers. Well, hopefully Larry has seen we're not making it with this group of Pacers. Lakers will be w/o a BIG MAN @ C/PF. Bynum is out 8 weeks. 2 Months is a long time, and alot of ground could be lost in that time. The Lakers will do anything to make Kobe happy right now. Especially 1/2 game out of first and the 8th seed 4 1/2 game behind them. Close race in the west. Even when Bynum does return, he will be out of game shape...thats if he heals 100% by then too.

I dont know what the trade would be, but now seems to be the best time to get the HIGHEST value out of JO.

***this isnt meant the Pacers getting Bynum***

The Lakers are not going to give up Andrew Bynum.

I don't believe they wanted to, along with Lamar Odom, in the summer and I don't think that they will now after the way Andrew has performed. He is what? 20? Being out 2 months sucks but no reason to trade someone.

I may take Brown (contract up) and fillers plus pick for JO. This would help us in the future by alleviating 50 million. Its become obvious we are not going anywhere this year, with this team.

this shouldnt of been moved. Its not a trade idea or proposals. I was just stating something that could happen and for what reason. BAD MOVE

I'd rather send them Eddie Curry.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

NO. I'm tired of the Pacers trading our guys for crap players. If Bynum isn't in a trade to LA, then don't do it. The only guy worth trading from there other then Bynum is Odom, but he isn't good enough by himself. K. Brown is just another player who is paid too much, so that would just take up more cap room, Unless we used it to even up the money in a trade.

If we could somehow convince LA to get JO.. Maybe it would be something like this?:

    JO
    Williams
    Rush
    Murphy

    For
    Bynum
    Odom
    Brown

BUT, if LA is smart, they will never give him up.

Sorry but I think JO has showed his age of late. His body is wearing down. You can tell by his leaping ability straight up from one spot. He doesnt have the spring he once did...as well as his BLOATED salary.

If you think you are going to get some young stud for him, you are nuts.

Well, that's when I was talking about if we were trying to trade with the Lakers.. But that we should get another star if trading with someone else. Doesn't have to be really young. Just have a few years left on a contract.

we ought to just do the following deal because we sure as heck aren't going to get a better offer for jo...

ind receives - crittenton, vujacic, radmanovic, brown, 2 1sts

    lal receives - jo, owens

    Successful Trade Scenario
    Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to L.A. Lakers and Indiana being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers and Indiana had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The Pacers blew it last Summer. They should have tossed Granger
into the J.O. deal to try and entice Kupchak/Buss to part with
Bynum plus whomever else. I'm not sure even J.O. in his prime
3-4 years ago would be enough to get Bynum at this point.

I don't see Bynum coming anymore, but they may do a Bynum-less trade for JO because BYnum may be out a while.
