Havent played an 18 round in about 3 years, hadnt played any golf for 3 years until the last few weeks. Only been out for one 9 hole round and I shot 100. For an 18 I would be in the 100's for sure. Hoping to get some more shots knocked off the game with the new driver and wedge but only time will tell. Regardless I just enjoy the time outside, being with friends and having those few good shots to make me believe.
61769....Hope springs eternal. No. I didn't start playing until the summer i turned 50, and don't get to play often enough. That said, I have improved each year. Got under 100 the first time maybe two summers ago. Now I'm pretty reliably just below / around 100.
More practice, more rounds, and I could get down a couple of more strokes easily enough, I think.
I just have this big gap I haven't solved...between the 5i and the driver, like i said earlier. That 2nd shot, out in the fairway...I can hit straight, or I can hit long, but...you know. Before I hit a 90, I'm going to need that magic perfect hybrid, or just practice my butt off with the 3w and 4i.
Kesty, the low irons are my favourite clubs in the bag (so much that I use them off the tee instead of a driver - actually, that is more of a testament to the fact that I've never bought a club in my entire life . . . custom-made drivers for your Grampa are best left for your Grampa).
