    Default Danny Granger Part 2

After watching last nights game vs Toronto and the first five minutes of tonights game with Miami Either Danny Granger needs to sit down or learn how to play the pro game. Since he's been a pro for going on three years now...I think its time to either sit or be traded. It does absolutely no good to score twenty points if your giving up 30 on the defensive end. Granger has been consistant enough with his turnovers and mental lapses....but not with his scoring and rebounding. Many of you on this "Digest " keep giving him a pass, because you actually think he's going to be a "star"...

But thats where most people make their mistake...thinking they know something and then give an opinion....only to find out they don't know squat. It's still early enough in his career for the PAcers to get something back of some value...Its time to trade Danny.....or live with his Yo-Yo game.

The only thing I would agree with in this post is that Granger has mental lapses. That is a real concern. Otherwise, this post is utter .

His scoring average is rising significantly each year. He now has 14 points on better than 50% shooting while guarding DWade. Three of the last four games for DWade have been >30ppg. Danny has him at 21 in the 4th quarter with 3 minutes left. Not great, but good luck to Tinsley or Dunleavy when they guard Lebron or DWade. LOL!

As for consistency, Granger's scored in double figures for 19/22 games this year which is similar to the older veteran players...all while drawing a much more difficult defensive assignment. Tonight is no exception. Based on your flawed logic, every player with less than 5 years of experience on this team, need to go too. Bye Shawne. Bye Ike. Bye everyone!

I think we should trade him for Gerald Wallace.

You recycle your posts, I'll recycle mine.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Yeah, because it's not like D-Wade scores like that on anybody else. What the heck is Danny's problem?

This is a grid that tracks player performance based on Utah's formula...points + assists +blocks + boards + steals, minus fouls, turnovers, and shots taken...all divided by minutes played.

Danny's numbers are inconsistent, and seem to be trending downward.

The first column labelled game 10 is actually the figure for the first 10 games.

Whether people think Granger is the next Lebron or the next ball boy, he will not be traded by the Pacers. It is seriously a waste of time to even speculate.

Granger is staying put because he's not only pretty good, he's a good citizen and can sell the product....something this team needs badly right now.

Oh, and let's trade that bum Granger because he isn't frickin' Carmelo Anthony or better. Such a scrub. Who wants another Tayshaun Prince in their starting 5 anyway?

You "think" Danny should be benched or traded because he gave up a lot of points to Wade, (which a lot of people do, actually, Wade's a superstar) and your opinion is he should be traded or benched.

So basically YOU don't know squat, either.

    By your logic, that is.

I'd only trade for G. Wallace if we then waived him.

Exactly. We will not trade Granger unless we packaged him with JO and somehow brought back a superstar, which will never happen anyway.

    Irony
    1) a pretense of ignorance and of willingness to learn from another assumed in order to make the other's false conceptions conspicuous by adroit questioning
    2) the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning
    3) incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result

    Example:

Again this game, the Miami Game and last nights game finds Granger not know whether to scratch his a$$ or his head....throughout the game!

But then again most all of you that post here or are trying to be amatuer comedians on this messageboard suffer from that same condition. Please moderators I need another major infraction so that you can suspend me, hopefully forever from all these brainiac basketball experts. I love reading the man love that many of them show one another on a daily basis....yeah, you know who you guys are!

For the record, Danny Granger does have talent, but does not handle the ball well for his size and frame of body. He will score secondary points-but never be "The Guy" , that most of you high school graduates thinkk he is now or will be. I can tolerate Tinsleys bad passes because thats what he's done for seven years...Granger does not rebound and makes very poor defensive decisions-missing rotations, etc. What Granger does do on the court is make you respect his outside shooting, but like his progress is off and on.

You don't have to watch a full game to see how the refs are going to call it, many of the Pacers have not learned to adjust their game to fit the situation....that is the NBA way....but hey, all of you know more then me. Thats why you all post on these message boards 4 or 500 times a week...

Amateur? I'm sure that's meant as an insult, but it's hard to take it seriously from an amateur GM.
