Might as well at this point. If we can get Marbury and a pick (maybe even a first rounder, this Zeke we're talking about) for Tins and Murphy then I'm all for it.

Player: Punches Were Thrown Between Isiah And Marbury

    Bergen Record -
Isiah Thomas and Stephon Marbury clearly were involved in an argument on a flight from New York to Phoenix, but the Bergen Record is reporting that it escalated to a physical confrontation.

One NBA player close to the situation said punches were eventually thrown -- a claim the Knicks denied -- and one person on the flight was heard describing the scene this way.

I suggested this last summer. Marbury wouldn't be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it gets us out of Tins and Murph. Tins is Isiah's lettle pet anyway.

Heck, maybe we could squeeze David Lee from them with a draft pick to boot, as well. It gets rid of a bad player and a bad contract. Not that Starbury's contract is the best, but i think Starbury could be Obie's new little AI.

This would put us in a great position to get Eric Gordon, or Derrick Rose in next Junes draft (pass on OJ).

Im just in the "I want change" crowd.

So, is there going to be a Larry Bird and JO cover coming?

The Pacers may be a laughing stock of the league, but we are not the laughing stock of the league.
"They could turn out to be only innocent mathematicians, I suppose," muttered Woevre's section officer, de Decker.

"'Only.'" Woevre was amused. "Someday you'll explain to me how that's possible. Seeing that, on the face of it, all mathematics leads, doesn't it, sooner or later, to some kind of human suffering."

I'm not ready to give up on this team yet..... We've all seen some great play at times. Boston looked so much better than us last night I have to wonder whether we will go anywhere. They are basically a new team also and have come together quickly. So why haven't we? Marbury's contract is actually one year less than JO's. Marbury would fit this offense but has the head problem that we have dealt with for 4 years now. He's 30 years old so he still has some playing time. If I could trade JO and get Marbury and a #1 or a very good young player back I might consider it. I'm really having doubts about JO's abilities. He's really giving us the same numbers as Murphy but is obviously much better at defense. Murphy is a much better outside shooter. JO's numbers 29 minutes 13.2 pts and 8 rb.

(I'm sure I will get raked over the coal for this post)

Ah yes, I remember that cover. It was as ridiculous then as it is now.

One thing's for sure. Isiah is gonna have a tough time getting a job anywhere after his tenure with the Knicks is over with.
His reign of destruction can't end yet......there are many Organizations out there that he can destroy from the inside.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he will be the next GM for the Lakers.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Now Now, Mitch is doing a fine job at destroying the Lakers from the inside. Give him time.....

And to the comment that Isiah will never get another job, we said the same thing after what he did to the CBA, and the same thing was said after he left the Pacers, there will be someone dumber than Dolan that will hire Isiah. I promise......

Oh it just keeps getting better:

Marbury fined $195,000 for skipping game

I thought he'd skipped practice; I had no idea he'd actually skipped a GAME!

The best part is that that is 1/110 of his salary...plus a $20,000 fine.

I wouldn't need a pick. Just Tins and Murph for Marbury. Yeah Marbury has a bad contract, but there's only 2 years left. And the guy can still play, he's just another ego. If J'Ob gives him the freedom he has given Tinsley, "Starbury" will be just fine.

Both teams get rid of players with bad contracts they no longer want and I think the Pacers actually get better.

Tins and Murphy for Marbury and a 2nd

    I say go after Starbury.

I cannot stand the idiot, but his contract is shorter than Tinsley who is cut from the same bad cloth.

The reason this would be a good move is that 1) Starbury is better than Tinsley and 2) more importantly, this gets us out of Murph and Tinsley's contracts earlier.

It would be a wonderful move to bring that punk aboard.

    Absolutely correct!

    &

Done deal! (although i would still try for a first rounder). Problem is with this whole idea - i doubt that Larry and Isiah even talk anymore. Donnie would have to step in and make that deal.

p.s. haven't checked, but I assume this works on the trade checker.

I don't think we need anything beyond Starbury. He is a fine replacement for Tinsley and the move would help our contract situation tremendously. It brings the future forward IMO...which is what we need.

Someone dumber than Dolan wouldn't be able to dress himself.

I keep thinking I'm hearing the giant bell of doom finally sounding for Isiah. But I've thought I heard that before.

Don't worry - I've gone beyond despair to seeing the humor in it.

Sort of like when your GF dumps you, then hooks up with a scuzzwad. At first it pisses you off but after a while you start laughing at her misery.

    Or so I've heard.
