Default Indianapolis Colts Week 11 Injury report thread

So last night in addition to Harrison, Clark, Ugoh, Hagler, Keiaho, Gonzalez we were struck with more injuries. Most notably Freeney, Diem.

Freeney got carted off and it looked bad, any news on him and our injured guys?

I'm sure it will be the typical day to day stuff that we always hear. We will play the guessing game as usual all week and won't find out until Saturday or Sunday.

Probably. I'm just concerned about Freeney.

Diem returned to the game so I'd guess he's ok. Worried about Big D though.

Just heard on NFL Network that Freeney is out indefinitely.

Great. Just what we need. I'd like to know some specifics of the injury though.

Since we don't have any specifics about Marvin I don't know that we'd get specifics about anyone else. My first thought when I saw them taking Freeney off on a cart was he blew out his Achilles.

IndyStar says he could miss next weeks game and possibly more. Nothing official still.

Not good. Not good at all. If that is the case then it may be a while before he is back on his feet.

At this point I'm just hoping for a sprained ankle that will keep him out for 3-4 weeks.

It'd just be nice if we knew half of what these injuries actually are. We know nothing of Marvin's injury and probably will be told nothing about Dwight's.

Well I watched a interview with Dungy and he said Marvin could have played if it was in the playoffs..but they are looking for him to be fully healthy before they put him back in there. I don't think he has any type of career threatening injury..more like a nagging/annoying type injury that can easily be re aggravated without rest.

I'm glad Marvin's injury seems to not be to bad.

If Dwight can play in 3-5 weeks that'd be awesome.

I'll be interested to see how good this defense is without D-Free. This is not something I ever wanted to find out, but we as Colts fans have been doing a great job finding the silver lining the last few weeks, we might as well continue.

Personally I think Dwight, not Bob is the most valuable player on our defense and we should be counting our blessings that our upcoming games are against teams that have putrid offenses. In fact, we don't play a team with what you would consider a very good offense for the rest of the season. Even with injury issues, we shouldn't lose another game this year.

If it was Achilles you know right away. He'd already be on IR if it was Achilles. Just the fact that he was trying to walk on it means it's probably not Achilles. If you've ever seen an Achilles rupture in person you know right away. You can hear it and feel it.

Somebody called in today to the JMV show and mentioned his wife was a nurse for the doctor who worked on Marvin Harrison. She claimed he was "done for the year." Now obviously it could have been some toolbag like the folks who start bogus rumors here, but JMV thought this guy seemed legit.

However, wouldn't that be in direct contradiction to what we have heard? It seems I have heard Marvin is close to coming back.

At least we should have Clark back by the next game... we need him.

I'm not buying that report. I call BS in a major way. I think Dungy even said that Marvin could have played last night had it been a playoff game or a game of standing meaning.

Sounds like complete BS. If he was seriously injured like that, he wouldn't be taking part in limited practices every week.

Let's just hope we don't hear Freeney has a bruise... That seems to mean 'trouble' in Indy sports...

BTW... ESPN reports Polian says Freeney could be out a 'significant amount of time'.

John Clayton said on Mike & Mike this morning that Freeney would be out a month and Marvin could come back dependent upon swelling going down. Clayton said Marvin's injury involved bursa sack inflammation in his knee.
