    Default ABA Waiver Wire

In the past I remember it working two different ways.

The first was, the first guy to put in a claim, got the player. Looks like those days are long gone.

Recently they've gone to a system thats a little more fair. The team with the worse record gets first shot at the player.

If you have "shown interest" in a waiver wire player & it shows you as 1st in line. That might not last. Another owner with fewer wins or a lower points per game average might want the same guy & you'll get knocked down to 2nd in line.

Sometimes its better to suck the first month of the season. Theres always a couple players that become available early that can help teams out later.

Thanks for the explanation Jose! This seems like the way it SHOULD be. The lower ranked teams get first dibs.

Thats the way I rmember it from 2 years ago. I thought it was based upon record the whole time. Guess I was mistaken and now its the way I thought it was.
