And that is something no one can take away from them. I was so glad I was at the game tonight because the crowd really came alive the last 4 or 5 minutes. Two oppurtunities where I believe last years team would have quit and this team did not. The first was when Miami went up 82-75, last years team probably would have thrown it in right there, but even if they hadn't no way they respond to JO fouling out the way this team did. They swarmed, they fought, and they played smart basketball.
Kareem and Tinsley both played relatively horrible games until Tins hit Rush for the two GIGANTIC threes. What a win. I'm proud of this team. If they fight like this all year they will win their share of games no matter what.

The other thing is the bench is into the game. Everytime they showed the bench on TV, there was no sitting around during time outs, they were up and cheering for their team mates throughout the whole game.

That says a lot about the new energy and chemistry of this team.

I think this team can surprise a lot of people this year if they can keep their conditioning up and work at this pace all year.

I've been reading this a lot, and while it is definitley encouraging, I just think people tend to forget what the bench was like. The tradition of standing up untill the team scores was started last year, and our bench had a ton of life at for the first half of last season too. Untill we really started falling down in the standings, people were saying these same things about the bench last year.

I do think the level of camaraderie is higher on this team though. I think these guys all honestly think this is a very good team and are happy to be here.

Maybe we'll be the Rockies of the NBA this year.

Getting swept in the finals would be a great year for this young team.

well given that most people predicted us to be 2nd to last in the east, making the finals would be quite an accomplishment - even if swept
    This is the darkest timeline.
