Ok after we got the kinks out of the parser, we now "gathered" the scores from last night to our database we will do the same tonight.
This means that our site will still start per game 1 and not later.
We will move the entire echalada to the PD server over night, and will finish the site (for now) before 6 PM tomorrow.
You will then find your teams on the site, (providing I can find them all over the place) and I will try and use the lineup you used on hoops, if you want another one pls let me know, even if it differs per game.
uhhh well slightly less impressive is that we made some rather mistyfying errors in the setup of the system.
The good news is that we got those kinks out almost as well, though it did mean back to the drawing board for parts.
As it was no user could have more then 1 team, not even in different leagues and players could only be used once across all leagues
Not a good idea.
Once again, we are ironing out those kinks, we DID gather all the scores thus far, so we do not need to start with game 2 or 3, but you will just see it a little later, before you can start interacting with the system.
We have added a routine to pick up the scores daily so we do not have to worry, but that is tested as we speak so to say.
Seeing as it is Friday, (well now at least) and we want to make sure we have not made anymore mistakes, AND trying to keep an overworked coder/genius at bay (he's having to many ideas and to little time to implement it all) I have decided that we will "finish" this over the weekend.
So expect a shout from me somewhere this weekend telling you to log in
have a nice one.
So Long And Thanks For All The Fish.
If you've done 6 impossible things today?
Then why not have Breakfast at Milliways!
I am very, very willing to give Able's site a go if it was up. But I'm also very aware that it will take thousands of dollars worth of man-hours (this is what Able does for a living) gratis to get it going - and to work the kinks out at the very least for the first few weeks. In fact he has very likely already put that into it. And for zero financial return.
I neither expect that or ask that of him and I certainly appreciate the efforts he put forward in trying to get a site going even if it didn't work out.
