Exclamation Adam Morrison Likely Done for the Season

    http://www.charlotte.com/bobcats/story/328487.html

He tore his ACL in a preseason game last night vs the Lakers.

The Bobcats were my surprise team of the year, now with both Ammo andSean May done for the season, I don't know.

This is why I'm not a fan of preseason, especially this many games. Nothing sucks worse than to get a serious injury during a meaningless game.

Yeah May is out for the season as well.

I think Primoz is hurt or coming back from an injury too. And I'm not sure how okafor is doing this year, but he was out a good bit of games last year, I wonder how he's doing this year.

Another reason why the only path to a title is a high draft pick, or heck, a whole slew of them in Charlotte's case.

Imgine tanking and not getting the top pick (Boston), seeing your top picks not pan out, refuse to play for your team, or end up wiped out by injury before they even get going. It's one thing to trade like Indy did when they had a small surplus of talent, enough to go to the Finals after the trade in fact. It's another to give up on winning and put all your hope into the sure thing that is the draft.

This really sucks for the NBA because of all the recent college players they seemed gear to build hype around, Ammo and his stache and Greg Oden and his 35 year old looking body were the 2 main ones it seemed.

Is it just me, or are there a lot of "Season-ending" injuries already this year already? I mean it seems like we are hearing about a few a week. And its only the preseason.

Wel,, they should be playing this hard in practice, too. But I do agree that pre-season should be shorter and training camp should be longer.

But I also support a shorter season in general and reducing the length of the playoffs (to something more like baseball's system) so what do I know?

Doesn't baseball have like 300 games per season? Well it at least seems that way.

And they keep getting later and later with the playoffs. Hell, if it keeps up at this rate, they'll be playing the world series over Christmas break soon.

I did hear they were already considering the possibility of snow in Denver for the series......I don't know if they were joking or not on the radio this morning.

When I mentioned Baseball, I was speaking only about the exclusivity of the playoffs. Four teams from each conference, three division leaders and one wild card. That's with 7 game series.

Now here's my REALLY wild idea: open up the playoffs to everyone and ply best of three series throughout until the finals.

Scary? sure. Fun? Absolutely. Ridiculous? Of course.

But hey, if I can't spout my ideas turette's style on the internet, I'd have to do it in a padded room somewhere. And since padded rooms don't have enema chatrooms, I prefer the internet.

Well, that should put us ahead of Charlotte.

    One down, 13 to go.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

If Morrison was the only thing keeping us behind Charlotte, we're in trouble anyway.

You know, I wonder if he cried.......

Seriously, Gerald Wallace, Jason Richardson, Matt Carrol. This hurts their depth a little, but they were already overstocked at SF. Sean May hurts a lot more just cause Primoz is already banged up and Okafor is fragile. Still a decent team, can't count them out.
