    Default Packers vs. Bears

Green Bay had this one under control and then a bad interception by Favre completely turned the momentum around. The GB offense looks soft as hell, now that Chicago has turned up their defense. Turnovers have haunted GB tonight.

The Bears are up 27-20 with just 13 seconds left, but the Pack is threatening.

Watching Madden try to verbalize his thoughts is painful.

What really killed the Packers is that they kept going with the run in the second half. Favre was on fire in the first half and they got a bit conservative with the play calling. By the time they realized that they should probably start passing on just about every down, it was too late. Still, it is only right that the Packers are no longer undefeated. They are not in the same league as Dallas, NE, and Indy. I don't even think Dallas is in NE and Indys league right now.

As a Bears fan, I can't believe we won that game. Green Bay did everything they could to lose it. Even after the interception I had my doubts about pulling it out. The moment of the game was when the ref moved the ball back on the challenge by Green Bay. He moves it back just a little more and it's 4th down. The bears got a lot of calls to go their way tonight.

As for Dallas, I guess we'll see whose league they are in next week, bearing they don't look past Buffalo.

Dad called to gloat too early in the game, I knew it was a bad omen/ bad karma.

Tangentally, New England is impressing the hell out of me, and I think everyone contintues to vastly overrate the NFC.

As Troy Aikman said yesterday, "The Seahawks have a good offense, by NFC standards." What he didn't say was even more telling, "But not against the AFC, they don't."
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
