Well, its never too early to start getting your team ready.I already drafted a team..heres what I got.

    Starters-
    PG Deron Williams
    SG Manu Ginobili
    G Ben Gordon
    SF Peja Stojakovic
    PF Tim Duncan
    F Chris Bosh
    C Jermaine O'Neal
    C Tyson Chandler

    Bench-
    Delonte West
    Jameer Nelson
    Boris Diaw
    Channing Frye
    Andris Biedrins

(I think I got a really good team,I know how it happened. There was a blazers fan in there and he took STEVE BLAKE #1,and Lamarcus Aldridge #2.)

So it kinda threw the draft off.

I actually didnt end up getting a sf in the draft,so I did some research and it sounds like peja is ready for the season and he wasnt even drafted,so I figured id take a chance.Hopefully I dont end up like Donnie and Larry did when they took the same risk.

Picking up Peja towards the end of the draft is low risk high reward move.

What type of Fantasy BBall game is this? Roto or H2H?

You probably need some 3pt shooting and some additional guards ( preferably SG ) that can help out in the Assist catagory as well as steals. I would probably look to other GMs that have need of a PF/C that you can pawn off one of your many PF/C to get some additional Guard help....you're Forward-top-heavy.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

At first look, that's a great team. If it's H2H the only category you'd expect to lose every week is assists. Maybe FG%, but that's more random than anything. That's pretty good.

I was hoping to organize a Roto PD league this season in addition to the 1 or 2 h2h leagues that we normally run. I played in one last season and found it to be quite enjoyable in that you have a fixed number of games at each position, which means you cant continually keep picking up new players in the playoffs to max out your stats. You dont get a finals system, but I found it to be a more enjoyable system across the entire season.

Any takers on joining a PD roto league?

I'd be up for it, defiintely...I've gotten so discouraged by head-to-head leagues...

I'd be interested in the pd roto league

send me an invite if you have room - iukreegs@gmail.com

I just joined a pre-existing keeper league. Another guy and I had a mini draft among players from the 2 teams that lost managers.

My 8 keepers ended up being (only 7 starters in this league)

    PG: Joe Johnson
    SG: Tracy McGrady
    SF: Lebron James
    PF: Gerald Wallace
    C: Samuel Dalembert
    Util: Tayshaun Prince
    Util: David West
    BN: Mike Dunleavy

Given that there are 14 teams, I think i did fairly well. Each team is pretty small though. I think i get 5 more bench players in the normal draft.

With Manu, Gordon, and Williams I think he is fine in the assist category. I would agree that your steals look weak.

I am in for fantasy bball. H2H preferably.

I've never done one before but I'd give this a shot. I've already decided not to do the H2H leagues this year. Just let me know what you decide.

What do y'all have against H2H leagues? At least those leagues are fun for all people involved, because you never know when your players will go off during a given week. If you do Roto, the people who start at the bottom usually stay there, lose interest, and now you have only 3 people still caring about the league. It's crap I tell yas!

Sounds like someone spends a lot of time bottom-feeding.

H2H is fun until you have the best team all year and then lose in the first round of the playoffs because two of your guys get the flu and miss two games that week and then Ray Allen decides to go on a 3-game shooting slump.

That's more like reality than the Roto leagues. Just take what happened to the Mavs last season for example!

BTW, if anyone knows of a good h-to-h league let me know.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

I prefer roto but enjoy both. I think it's more fair to earn your spot over time than be the best team and then lose due to the real-life teams sitting your players so they can rest them for the playoffs.

The H2H tourneys usually turn into who can scramble the most for those players that get more playing time at the end of the season, while your top players are nursing bruised pinkies waiting for playoffs.

Sure some people give up due to falling behind but that happens in H2H leagues as well. A person with a losing record isn't going to make the tournament at the end (most of the time anyway). Sure they might have a hot week but losing records bring quiters as well.

I'm getting a list of names together for a possible league based on the scoring system used on the old Sports.ws site.

As of now we have 3 openings in a 20 team league. If I have more than 3 express interest then the current league members will vote in the 3 owners they wish to add.

Let me know if you'd like to play.

I dunno....I'd say 3rd or 4th PG off the board after Arenas, Nash, and Kidd. You gotta love Diener's %s. Also, you know he's going to be more under control than JT with his Ast-TO ratio. And you gotta love his situation here. Lots of playing time and opportunity to be a BIG scorer. The only thing I'm worried about is rebs. He'll get you around 3-4, which is solid for a PG, but it's not Kidd-level.

Haha, yes, that's what I was worrying about too. I mean, he'll probably be good for a block or two a game, but his lack of rebounding (not because he can't, but because he chooses not to - I mean, he's gotta leave something for the others right?) puts him further down the list for sure. I think it's safe to say that Nash and Kidd are past their prime, will probably retire after this season, join the AARP. But Arenas in a contract year - that dude is gonna want to get paid. Watch out!

I'll have to pre-rank my players as I can almost guarantee that I will not be able to make a live online draft. Is that ok?

Yep, I would recommend that everyone should pre-rank they players even if they are going to make the live draft. Firewalls and various technical issues have been an obstacle in the past.
