    Default Most interesting division

The Central division has been a pretty good division for a good while now but what division do you think is going to be the toughest this season, and why?

    Southwest...not even close.

More talent there than anywhere else. I can see all 5 teams making the playoffs.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

    Division Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 1989, 1990, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
    Conference Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 2005
    NBA Champions 1989, 1990, 2004

    Agreed. Southewest....followed by the Central.

SA & Dallas are title contenders without a doubt. Houston should be too, at least on paper. I like the moves they've made this summer with acquiring Adelman, Scola, James, and Francis. NO and Memphis have improved via draft, FA, etc. Their star players are also healthy again (CP3 & Gasol). Both could sneak into the playoffs.

I don't think the Central has any true title contenders, but five playoff caliber teams. Detroit, Chicago, and Cleveland are all capable of making the finals, but I can't see any knocking off a Western powerhouse in 7. Pacers and Bucks are boderline playoff teams if healthy.

    Who has the weakest division?

I gotta go with the Northwest. Minny, Seattle, and Portland are lottery bound. Denver is a first round exit out of the playoffs. Utah is mostly likely a second round exit.....maybe the WFC if they get lucky again.

Deffinetly Southwest on the West side because they have the Spurs and Dallas and that is tough to beat. All the other West divisions are up in the air for how well the teams will do. You never know what is going to happen with some of them.

The Northwest has Utah and Denver but they are not contenders this year and the Pacific has the Suns but they can never seem to get there act together come playoffs time which always bothers me. I would like to see them do better.

In the East I think the Central division is strongest with the Pistons Bulls and Cavs but the Atlantic might have a good year with Boston becoming stacked with some pretty good talent. Although no one really knows how well that experiment will work (I mean Shaq, Kobe, Payton and Malone didn't equal a Ring).

Definitely the Southwest. They probably have 3 of the best 4 teams in the league (Phoenix being the other).

Central is next. They probably have 3 of the best 4 teams in the East (Boston being the other).

    Just invert and multiply, idiot.

    Now division by zero...That's tough.

The Southwest is clearly the creme of the crop.

The Northwest and Atlantic divisions still don't impress me at all.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
