The Pacers didn't give us much to work with as far as dates are concerned. We try to schedule the party on a non-game date sometime prior to the end of the year holiday while also side stepping Thanksgiving.
Here are our options.
October 27th is the Saturday before the regular season opens.
The next 3 Saturday's all have games scheduled.
November 24th is Thanksgiving weekend, 13 games into the season. We could have it here but it would not be high on my list.
The next two weekends are open.
December 1st - 17 games in December 8th - 20 games in
If I don't make one of the dates, I need someone to find me and beat me with the biggest stick they can find. I have intended on attending each of the last 5 forum parties and haven't made it because something always comes up.
I am planning for "personal" reasons to go to Indy again this year but somehow "need" this to coincide with my birthday (preventing nasty parties at home) which mean I have to travel around the 22nd of November.
I am sorta planning to arrive on the 17th, catch the game, see the Colts on the 18th and return (after the game) on the 25th.
Of course I would more the appreciate to see all my friends again on a PD party, but I can understand it not being a "good" date for most.
Appreciate some feedback though :P
So Long And Thanks For All The Fish.
If you've done 6 impossible things today?
Then why not have Breakfast at Milliways!
December 8th would be best for me of those dates listed, but the 15th would be even better. I'm usually busy Thanksgiving weekend, and my Finals are in early December, so the 1st is probably the worst possible date for me.
I could do October 27th, but I agree that there won't be much to talk about since it will still be before the season.
2007 SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS & 2010 AFC CHAMPIONS
1940, 1953, 1976, 1981, & 1987 NCAA CHAMPIONS & 2002 NCAA FINALISTS 1970, 1972, & 1973 ABA CHAMPIONS & 2000 NBA EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS
If I'm going to make my first forum party it would have to be December 15th as I have finals the week after the 8th and wouldn't be able to make it. I think last years party took place on the Saturday after I finished finals, but I was out of town. If we did it on the 15th I could make it.
Well didn't the last one start at like 3PM? Even if it's 4PM, that's 3 hours to chat before the game, and if it's over around 10:30-10:45, another 2+ hours to talk afterward. Who knows.
That is interesting. I generally do not like watching Pacers games with a group of people or really any people around - unless I'm attending the game. But I don't know it would be interesting to watch a game and comment on it during the game and after
Pacers play at Miami - December 15th 7:30. We'd have to find a place where we could watch the game (most places will be showing anything but Pacers basketball. Some place that is quiet and we could really watch the game. Or depending on how many show up we could even go to someone house to watch the game.
I don't know, this has possiblities.
Edit: the more I think about this, the more I like it. And after the last last party I think we need to change things up a little. So I'm voting for the 15th
