Not really going to be much of a rematch. Our preseason losing streak is on the line!

Of course it's not a rematch in the "playing a game with your best players in order to try to win" sense , Or even with the same rosters that played in the Super Bowl. But these franchises are the two most recent participants. And the Colt's keep giving lip service to the notion that they actually do want to win a preseason game.

I personally hope they don't do well because that usually means really good regular seasons (e.g. a collective 22-0 to start the last two), which is phenomenal considering how hard it is to win each game.

Dungy has been saying he wishes they had more, not less, games and practice time in the preseason. They have to get two rookie defensive tackles ready and a rookie left tackle.

One outstanding development is the continuing progress of free safety Antoine Bethea. He is the perfect compliment to Sanders because of his great range and reaction, allowing Sanders to cheat a little more towards the line of scrimmage. Plus, he tackles very well and loves to be physical. Gold in the 6th round!

Kenton Keith looked pretty good in only a couple of carries. Sorgi much better running out of the no huddle. Kornheiser still makes me want to turn the sound off.

I missed the 3rd Quarter Peyton interview, can someone give me a summary of what he said? All I caught was some nice comments about Ugoh and then he was asked about Vick.

Went to the game myself, at least till the Sorgi INT. Ugoh looked pretty good I thought. They ran behind him, definitely trapped behind him, seemed okay in pass protection most of the time. Manning had happy feet before his sack and then the next play that ended the early drive, not sure if that was due to Ugoh or what, but after that everything settled down.

One thing is clear though, if Hayden, Jackson and Sanders don't play in about 43-44 collective games this season the team will be in trouble. I think the DTs can be passable with 93, 98 and 58 in key spots to support them and with those DBs able to come up. But if you have to go thinner in the secondary this team is in trouble in a hurry.

BTW, Griese has just totally lost his touch. He missed wide open guys or underthrew them all night. No wonder they keep the suck-fest that is Rex as the starter. On that line, Rex was the Colts best offensive player once again. It was 12 vs 10 when the Bears were on offense.

Jackson's tackle on Hester on the screen play was very impressive.
