Jalen got punched in the face by Kurt Thomas on Christmas day. Sam body-slammed Dennis Rodman.

Jalen dropped 21/6/5 on the way to our only Finals appearance.

FWIW, Byron Dinkins and Clinton Wheeler both do make the Pacer's All Name team though.

I wouldn't say distant. Mitchell was a pretty big impact guy himself on some great teams. But Rose circa 98 especially is what I'd most like to see back out there right now.

I am glad Jalen is not a Pacer now but he clearly had the biggest impact on the franchise.

    I Jalen.

    There. I said it.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

I would kill to have Jalen back on the Pacers...and I know we have eight-hundred SFs and problems with defense but man...such a smooth shot.

Me too. I still remember the day my favorite college player of all time got traded to my favorite team to play with my favorite player of all time. Glorious, glorious day. The pin number on my checking account ATM was 3105 for a solid ten years. (FYI...It's different now, you identity theivers.)

Just wait like two more years and we will all get to witness Jalen as the most entertaining basketball analyst in the history of broadcast television. It would be selfish to keep him for ourselves when he should be the whole world's gift. I sorta wish he would just retire and do it now. It's gonna be great.

He was a beast in the post. He either got fouled or hit the shot when he posted up in the paint. That's actually my favorite memory of Jalen... that and the 40 point mop-up he had against AI and the Sixers in game 1 of 2000.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

Oh man. It's going to be fantastic. OH-MY-GOD! Is there any way we can ensure that he'll work with Arenas when he retires? Kevin Harlon-Jalen Rose-Gilbert Arenas...there you go TNT, I just won you 5 emmys.

“Like I told the guys earlier, once he turns 21 and is able to drink, it’s over.”
Jalen Rose after LeBron scored 56 on the Raptors

"Nope. Politricks is not for me. I don't believe in war. Maybe I just didn't want Bush to win. I would have voted for you (a reporter) if you were running. Can't be any worse than what we've got."
    Jalen Rose

    “Was it for Richard Jefferson?”
Jalen after hearing that Carter had been traded to New Jersey

“He probably was a little tired from All -Star Weekend. While he was running up and down the court throwing it off the backboard, I was laying on the beach drinking a fruity drink with an umbrella. So I probably gave myself an unfair advantage on that one.”
Jalen explaining why he outplayed Carter two days after the All -Star Game

"I really like Rafer Alston. We get along great. We have a lot of fun times together that I can't share with you guys."
    - Jalen Rose

"We'll put it in our scouting report, maybe it'll help us next time."
    - Jalen Rose after Kobe dropped 81 points on the Raptors

"By the time we got [to Detroit], it was almost 2 in the morning, because ain't nothing open but hospitals, jails and legs."
    - Jalen Rose
