Hicks...Your Pacer colored Mel Gibson just reminded me of how I feel about it right this minute. Remember in Braveheart the Scots lined up across the field from the Brits. They took volley after volley of fights of arrows and when the Brits stopped...they lifted their kilts and flashed em. Then another volley of arrows ensued and when that was over the Scots turned their backs to the Brits, again lifted their kilts, and mooned the Brits.

THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE PISTONS RIGHT NOW!!!....READY??? *** TAKE THAT DETROIT!!!!***

Most important game of the season thus far. I suppose that is obvious.

Look at it this way, as long as the Pistons don't win two straight games in this series, the Pacers will be in the NBA Finals.

I won't be able to watch ANY of the game tonight

I know that I am going to be nervous as hell when I get home from work and go on the net.

My question for you guys, should I go to nba.com and read the headline or come here and read either nothing but glee or nothing but negatism to find out who won?

Man, I always hated the "morning after" when I couldn't watch the game. I would jump out of bed, turn on Sportscenter and stare at the little bottom-scrolling scoreboard to see if we won.... and by the time I found out, my heartbeat was about 240. Then it'd be zero if we lost.

I'd check NBA.com first. Better to get the news all at once than have to decipher a bunch of mixed emotions. After all, if you were judging by the general negativity on the forum, you'd think we'd already lost.

I also hate missing a game and then having to find out.

I usually go to www.nba.com and then hold my breath, cover the screen with my hands and then gradually scroll down to see as my heart pounds a mile a minute.

I disagree, and I think that if we set ourselves up to feel that way we're setting ourselves up for a fall.

As long as we play decently tonight, I won't panic if the excitement and lift from being back home in the ECF to help Detroit take this one tonight.

It is much more likely that we would take the second one away from them, just like they did to us.

Harder on the heart, maybe, but more likely.

Now, for Detroit, tonight is critical, because if they lose it takes away their momentum and maybe just a bit of their confidence.

I think this game is much more important for the Pistons than it is for the Pacers.

Now, note that I said "as long as we play decently." We play like doggie poop again and I'm gonna be really mad.

I'm with you. Being down 2-1 isn't the end of the world if the Pacers play good and stick around all game. That's what I tried to say in another post. Only if we look like we did the last time we were in Detroit do I start to worry. If we look like crap and can't keep Detroit in range then that is a ton of pressure for game 4. True, a game 3 victory would be nice

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Mr. Able, use of desperate measures has been approved.

I don't care how we come home tied 2-2, as long as we come home tied 2-2. I suspect that Detroit will be very difficult to beat tonight. We're not talking about Boston or Miami anymore, this is a real challenge.

I'm pumped up to see if the Pacers are up to the task. For everybody that thought you'd learned something about this team prior to tonight - you're kidding yourself. Tonight and Friday are when we learn just how "tough" our guys are.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
