Default The official Draft Night Transactions thread (no speculation)

So I figure we need a place to keep track of the trades that actually go down. No need to talk about rumors, since there's a billion of those threads already. Let's use this thread just to keep track of official trades. What do we have so far, since the end of the playoffs?
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

If you're gonna include James for Howard then ya gotta include this one too:

Toronto acquired guard Carlos Delfino from the Detroit Pistons for second-round picks in 2009 and 2011.

I just want to officially say that I can't STAND Steven A. Smith. How could so many loud and meaningless words come out of one piehole?

Reporting that the Celts trade is official.

Ray Allen traded for #5, West, and Wally.

    What a weird trade.

Well, nothing is "official" until tomorrow. But if both teams say they've agreed to the same trade, then it's not really speculation.

The day that was to be Portland's shining glory, they trade Randolph for Francis and Frye? I thought Randolph and Oden was a perfect combo down low as Oden is not much of a offensive threat. I just don't like it, can somebody explain this for me.

Pacers trade 2009 Second round draft pick to Heat for Stanko Berec. Pacer fans rejoice because their savior has arrived, Shaq relaxes knowing he won't lose his starting job, Lebron pees his pants.

As I'm sure you saw them say on TV, Zach was notoriously bad in the locker room, and when you're bringing in this many rookies, you don't want a guy like that influencing them.

Portland cleaned up tonight. Incredible, incredible job by the Blazers.

The Celtics did pretty well too, as did Atlanta.

The others are difficult for me to gauge right now. Too many forwards going to teams that don't need forwards.

I like the Randolph deal for us just because of getting rid of Francis and Frye - we all know about Francis and I never liked Frye - we should have gotten Granger with that pick.

That deal got better when we got Nichols who I think can be a nice role player in the league.

Not a blockbuster positive though because Curry already scores in the post and can't defend my sister.

It also destroys the illusion some Knick fans had that we were trying to be under the cap by 2009 - and our salary situation is now worse than the Pacers again. Oh well - I got to ride that horse for about 6 months anyway.

The Knicks trading Francis and Channing was great. They got rid of a big contract and got in some good pieces in return.

Freddie Jones is just being passed around these days isn't he?

I cannot believe that J-Rich and Jamareo were traded to the Bobcats for Brandon Wright. I didn't see that coming and thought the Bobcats were content with Wright. I did hear MJ talking about how he wanted to bring a few vets in and they've got one.

Sports Guy says that he scoured the internet to find out what shooting guards did not decline precipitously after age 32 and came up with only one name: Reggie Miller.

    a funny line:

6:07: After Detroit takes Rodney Stuckey at 15, Bilas calls him "a poor man's Dwyane Wade." Hmmmm. Who's the homeless man's Wade? Damien Wilkins? Marquis Daniels?

Dick Vitale is close. I kept screaming "shut up already" at the television last night.

    Hell > ESPN.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you
