I'd love to go after Pierce. I think if we can get him without giving up JO and too much young talent, we should do it. It will definitely cost us Granger or Williams as well as Quis. The real problem here is that we don't have any picks and we have no expiring contracts.

Well it looks like Boston took heed awefully quick to PP's demand. It looks like they will land Shawn Marion for the #5 and contracts. KG to Phx, #5 and junk to Minny.

They dont even have to give up Al Jef.

PP / Marion / AlJef will be a pretty good trio if this goes through.

Look at Phx too: Nash, Amare and KG. LOOKOUT!

Putting this together with LB's statement on WTHR tonight saying "We will get a shooter - one of the best in the league"

Maybe - just maybe - he is talking about Pierce. With Obie's good history with PP, could this be a huge smokescreen that the former Celtic teammates are putting on the rest of the league?

Starters= JO, PP, Jeff, Shawne, Quis. I could live with keeping JO in this case.

What would we have to give up? Granger?, Quis?, Ike?, future #1?, Tins? Hopefully not Shawne.

I think JO and Pierce work as a duo really well. Pierce is everything that JO isn't and vice versa. Also, I think Dunleavy would thrive as a number three guy with those other two. I have never not wanted Pierce.

I think the Celtics would take Granger (Gomes isn't a SF and neither is Green). I doubt that they would take Ike considering Big Al owns the Boston post for the next ten years anyways but you never know...young talent is what it is. It's tough to come up with a trade here but I think we could offer them a decent deal...we have three young guns in the making...

I would cry a little if we traded Granger (even if it was straight up for LeBron James). Also, I'd have to do something about my name...

It'd be freakin HILLARIOUS if LA and Boston just did a 1-for-1 swap, Kobe for Pierce. I have no clue if their salaries match, but it'd be funny just from a principle standpoint

The Blockbuster trade is pretty much dead because the Celtics don't like what they're getting.

And Pierce would demand a trade if they don't get another good veteran.

Is there a possibility that the Celtics would actually agree.

How about something like, Shawne, Ike, Quis, Murphy for Pierce and the number 32 pick. Take the best guard available.

We're in no position to be asking for a pick. If Pierce is on the market then we have to try hard to get him.

Apparently Celts will keep both Pierce and the #5 Pick.

For now. If Pierce was serious I doubt the Celtics changed his mind this quickly.

I don't know. They have kept him there for years under pretty pathetic circumstances. Why wouldn't he stay another year...

PP and JO would be highly unlikely. THink of other teams that would be able out bid us.
