With all the JO trade talk, I think we can dedicate a thread to just discussing what can and should be expected of him over the rest of his current contract and beyond.
I know some of you don't like his style of play, some of you think he's God, some of you think he's not a leader, some of you think he's soft, some of you think he's the best defensive player in the League.
For the record, I think he's the best Pacer I've ever seen play (too young for Mel). And I think that's why we need to discuss his future on the court and how
But how good you think he is doesn't even matter. Regardless of all that, I'm curious to see what people think he will be going forward in relation to what he is today.
What are your future projections for JO? What does he have left? How long will he be that good? What type of durability does he have?
Basically, should we trade the guy now based on your future projections for his career? Obviously, what we can or cannot get is the ultimate determinent, but do we want to "sell high" now, or should we ride Jermaine well into his 30s.
And how does his opt-out clause at the end of the year affect all this? Will he opt out? What type of deal will he get next?
