How does the NFL go about enforcing the rule. I had heard that last night and think it seems like a dumb rule.

I was merely using the oppurtunity to make yet another Borat reference.

    You sure?

I was under the impresion that the league puts up 5k per ring and anything over that is covered by the winning team.
Just like the number of rings. The team is alloted money for 150 or so rings and if the team wants to give rings to more people then that they have to foot the bill for the overage.

I read it in an article about the rings yesterday. But Just what I read. Who knows if it was right.

When we were making our rings for the thumbs last year, the PPG said this,

The NFL gives each Super Bowl champion a budget for purchasing rings. The franchise then pays for all costs that exceed the budgeted amount.

I think there was another article, and I think the Steelers paid $17k/ ring or something like that.
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Yeah, no way you can get that ring for 5k. Just look at it. C'mon Gyron, you spent at least 50k on the wife's engagement ring and that thing is only 3 karot.

James Mungro is the lucky one in that photo...i don't think he even played a game during the reg. season due to injury. He's a good backup, sucks that he didn't get to play...so i guess that makes him unlucky...

Nice array of jerseys there, REL31. I read that the Colt's might be close to resigning Mungro. He's a good guy to have for goal line situations. After all, we can't overutilize the TD catching machine that is Dan Klecko.

I might be remembering the article incorrectly. You are probably right.

As for the wife's ring, I bought it on sale and with a coupon if that tells you how cheap I was. I was a senior in college with no money and no credit. But she still wears the .000000000000002 carat diamond with pride.

One day I'll be able to buy her a real ring.....Of course if you would pay your child support, I could probably buy her one now....

I won't even pay child support for my in-state kids, you're out of luck there.

$5k's about the price of a basketball state championship ring, right? Hopefully you got more than that on eBay.......
