The Spurs finally stopped hesitating. Parker had passed up a shot or two and that time it looked like for a second they weren't going to make that skip pass to the wide open Manu. Luckily for SA they did.

I agree with JVG on this one, this actually helps the Spurs because a big part of what happened was them getting off their game plan and losing some intensity. Now complacence just went out the door and Pop has big time locker room ammo to keep them attentive to his game 3 scheme.

I mean ultimately the Spurs shut it down by getting back to their scheme and it mostly looks like SA let the Cavs back in. The Spurs ended up winning the final 5 minutes of the game, not just "didn't lose enough to lose the game".

Also note that the Cavs had less fouls and took more FTs, so it's not like you can expect a big improvement in that aspect. They also outshot the Spurs from 3. Those are the things that usually hurt your team on the road and pick you back up at home. In other words I don't know how much will change going back to CLE. Bowen, Finley and Barry went 2-15 from 3 (13%). Those 3 guys averaged 40% from 3 on the ROAD during the regular season (4.3 for 10.7 per game). So that's another thing I think CLE wil have to be concerned with.

The media is getting on my nerves.

OK, WE GET IT, THE FINALS HAVEN'T BEEN VERY GOOD TO THIS POINT - WE UNDERSTAND THAT - but what makes me mad is the glee at which the media loves to rip the NBA and how breathless and excited they are about the horrible finals and the bad ratings.

Edit: oh and one more thing, is the "Sopranos" a sporting event - no I didn't think so. Then how come it seems like all I've heard today on sports radio and sports TV is about the "Sopranos"

OK, I feel a little better

UB, sports is mainly a "guy" thing.

Sopranos is also a "guy" thing.

They cross over. Occasionally sports radio shows will feature something that most of the male audience will have in common to discuss, sports or not.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Well then they should change the name to male radio and ESPN the total male network.

on second thought, that might not work so well

That's essentially what it already is...

Why do you think there are so many off-topic pop culture references on Sportscenter that have nothing to do with sports?

Entourage gets referenced a TON. Another "guy" show.

I'm gonna throw a prediction out here - and it's probably wrong.

I don't remember the year but it was when Bernard King was at his peak and Boston was contending for titles every season.

We lost to Boston in 7. We won all three home games in tight ones where Bernard went wild - scored like a madman, was getting all the whistles, etc. IIRC, he was in the 40's each home game - or at least close.

In Boston none of the games were in doubt - if we lost any of them by less than 10 I don't remember it. Part of it was standard HC but a big chunk was the Celts were able to play him much more physical in the Garden.

I would not be shocked to see the same thing happen here - where Lebron just goes wild at home. I highly doubt they take 3 in a row but I could see the Cavs take 2 of 3, no matter how much they've stunk so far.

We were done in that series after game 2 and Bernard just wouldn't let us lose - and after we won game 3 the rest of the team acted like it was possible. I can see Lebron doing the same thing at home.

Entourage is a "guy show"? Man, we've really lowered our standards...
