    Default IND/DEN/LAL/BOS

I really don't think this has any chance of happening, but I read something on I think Hoopsworld about a 4 team trade including us, the Lakers, Denver, and someone else. But I thought it was an interesting trade. I'll go back and find who the fourth team was supposed to be.

    Successful Scenario
Due to Indiana, Denver, L.A. Lakers and Boston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Indiana, Denver, L.A. Lakers and Boston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

i love the first one... the second one not so much because Sacramento gets screwed terribly and i doubt they do it... the first one Denver gets screwed but apparently Denver is looking to get cheaper so maybe not... the lost Denver takes is spread out amongst the other teams and turns the Lakers into an instant title contender

actually... if the Lakers didnt get to the Conf finals that year i would give up on basketball

that 2nd trade is pretty funny.

LA would have Kobe, JO, Ron and Camby. Not that they would ever play nice with each other but that is almost an All defensive team lineup right there. They'd also be spending almost the entire salary cap on 4 players.

This is my proposal to this four team deal. Another filler would need to replace Klieza, as Denver seems to want to keep him around. Boston fans seem to be on the fence, but I like it from ours and LA's() perspective.

^^ i would do it if i was boston actually... they can draft conley with their pick, they already have rondo who has a year under his belt. they get Odom a nice playmaker to go with pierce, and really they only lose west and green... both of whom have other players developed in that position (rondo, ray, allen) i actually like this deal for the pacers, they get a prospect C, PG and SG and an expiring. so it would be like having a few draft picks anyway. now the worry is that none of them ever develop but hopefully this works out. denver dumps the salary and snags the backup PG that they've wanted. the lakers don't get the PG they want but still have the #19 to trade with other parts to get one. and they totally reinvent their frontcourt and become fantastic defensive team instantly. nice work.
    This is the darkest timeline.

I look at it like this, if JO is to be moved, I would look to get back as much young talent back as I can. I think of it as the numbers game, the more young talent we have, the greater likelyhood of at least one panning out as a decent borderline allstar. That is why I am personally not in favor of the LA deal by itself. I dont think that Bynum is going to be what most expect.
