Default Where would you like the next forum party?

I've gone thru the suggestions in the other thread & posted most of them in this poll.

Baisicly, we need a new home for our next party.

Where do you think is the best location?

Hmmm - if this vote holds up I think I will approach a movie production company about becoming a location manager when I get home.

Seriously about Pizza King Avon... this location isn't going to happen, unless it is a day during the week, and I'm not talking about Friday. The manager I spoke with was pretty certain about the owner not wanting his dining room "tied up" on his busiest day of the week for dine in customers.

Ok, then switch my vote to the Mayberry Cafe in Danville.

What about the new place on the NE side of Indy? Sports of all Sorts? They have very good pizza, can work out a buffet deal if necessary, and they have bowling lanes with LCD screens which can also view sporting events.

It appears that the Nora Donatos has the backing of the vast majority. If, for some reason thinhs don't work out there, we will consider other locations for parties in the future.

I noticed that Panera Bread in Avon had a seperate room. I think of them as more of a lunch place, but I'm not sure if they charge for it or what it costs. Brigsby's is quite the drive from the west side, but isn't Nora even farther to the other side of the earth?

Nope, not according to this map.

    Google Map Link

I come from the east, and this is going to up my travel time from about 50-55 minutes to 60-65 minutes.

I know the PK in Avon is out, but voted for it just to keep the West Side on the radar screen.

Nora is a bit tougher to get to, but not actually farther.

Shouldn't we just order some Hot Box and have it delivered to the Starbucks in Conseco?

(if they stayed open late enough I'd be more serious about this)

Considering the Panera Bread/Avon is less then a mile away...I never noticed a side room though, but then again...I've never been to a Panera Bread before either. Seems too "hoity-toity" for me.

I don't know if it matters, but that's not the one in Nora. That address is 1305 E. 86th St. But if you really want to have a the party a mile from my house who am I to argue.

I honestly don't understand the hoopla about what side of Indy it's on. Hicks already mentioned his driving an hour anywhere it is, when I came (and I do plan on making another) it's even farther for me.

DK was there when I was there, and I think he has mentioned he's from Clinton Co. so he's probably looking at a hour and a half to two hour drive. Believe in Blue also drove farther than me as well. I'm sure most come from Indy, but I'm sure there are several that attend each one that drive an hour easy just to be there.

It should be more for the best location as to what side of the city is on, JMHO.

I agree that best location is better than side of town, which is why I've never balked at driving to the NE side. And if that (NE side) is the most central point for everybody, that is where it should be. But if the greater amount of people are one side of town and you can find a good spot, it seems perfectly logical to discuss.

able came from England for crying out loud, so nobody can use distance as too much of an excuse eh?
