...Still "flying casual"
I like the thought of Oakley being an assistant, but seriously.... what are the odds of THAT happening?
When did I wander onto a knicks board?
Seriously tho a guy like Oak is exactly the kick in the pants this team needs.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.
This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.
Again you guys keep talking about discipline when it looks like none of the players you want straightened out might even be here next year.
Tins - traded
Harrison - has one more year, but lucky if he isn't cut at camp the way it's going
Do we need Oaktown here smacking down the milk drinkers??? They'll shell up not man up.
Herb to me doesn't seem to have a coaching vision/personality yet. Just about the entire list of names I've heard would be better IMO.
As an assistant here, sure. Mark and Herb might be an interesting pair if you want to give guys their first shot on their own (Herb was a Zeke puppet in NY as pointed out)
One of the biggest trades the Pacers ever made was sending Herb to Dallas to get Detlef. Herb and Vern WERE the 80's Pacers, they were the 2 guys that were there year after year. Doesn't really say much for either of them being great players considering the results, but if you were a fan these were the guys you watched.
I'd be very disappointed if Herb Williams is the best we can do considering Adelman, SVG, and either Iavaroni or Sam Mitchell are out there. I think I'd even rather hand it over to Mark Jackson before I'd want Herb in here.
Are assistants allowed to interview while the team is in the playoffs?
I heard Iavaroni is really to do interviews if the Suns have a break/layoff during the playoffs.
I think teams can give PERMISSION to speak with coaches during the active season (including playoffs) but that otherwise it's off-limits. But I could be wrong about that.
Pretty sure MJ already has plans for Oak to beat the crap out of Adam Morrison whenever someone scores on him.
