You are good. Although I would imagine the court would not allow video from games to be shown during trial.

I understood exactly what he meant, and in the context of basketball being a TEAM SPORT, his attempt at being funny flopped, imo. To lay the blame on Dun for GS not being in the playoffs is not funny, just plain stupid.IMO

What does Dun have to do with Jackson's poor shooting(not Club Rio)?

I find it pathetic that every time someone points out that Jack is not god, that his supporters throw up the yeah, but neither is Dun or Murph or Ike comment.

Jack is an average NBA player with a lot of negative baggage, and adding any qualifiers to that statement is admitting that the statement has merit.

who says I'm a Jack supporter? I am one of his biggest detractors, but like Seth, I wish they would have actually gotten more for him than they did.

I few more months of him (we were in the 5 spot when he was traded) with some nice community stories, and working up his off the court persona would have gone a long way with other team who might have wanted him, and given up something better than what we got. That's all I'm saying.

Sorry you couldn't see the humor, or that you are so bitter that you just plain refuse to laugh. lighten up, francis.

Well, in certain states it certainly would. Texas immediately comes to mind.

The moment anyone took the stand and mentioned anything about how Jackson felt after the incident, the tape would easily come in as "rebuttal".

It was just as much...nay...MORE likely that Jack would have been involved in another incident that would have further devalued his contract. Just look at his behavior in the playoffs. Tossed twice in the first round, called for another tech and a flagrant in the second round, and he nearly lost it at least twice more in the Utah series (almost chucking the ball into the stands, and yelling in a ref's face) as well.

The Warriors' Big Three of Baron Davis, Jason Richardson and Stephen Jackson had it particularly tough. They combined to make only 3 of 21 three-point tries.

It was that kind of night.

"I didn't play well enough for us to win the series," said Jackson, who ended with 16 points on 3-of-17 shooting. "I had a terrible night shooting. I couldn't knock down those shots when my team kept coming to me. I just couldn't get one in. That was a terrible series for me.

"But Derek Fisher was great for them," he added, "hitting those big threes in the second half."
At least he was able to admit his struggles and give praise, that's all we can ask for really.

A great run for the Warriors no matter how you slice it. Next season will be even better.

Now that's funny. Although... he might be the MVP in the Indiana Penal League, though. I wonder if those games are televised?

At least everyone saw the typical Streakin' Jackson in this series. Sure, he'll get red-hot from the floor every now and then, but you have to put up with a lot of 4-18's and 3-17's to get those rare/ occasional gems.

And when he gives you two or three good games in a single series, you can pretty much bank on him stinking up the place for a long time afterwards.

Okay, but now that their improbably post-season run is over can we finally move this threat to the archives where any lingering memory of the former Pacers Four's now belongs?

Depends. If Streakin' Jackson is shooting at it, then I see another 0-5 performance and this thread living a long and happy life.

Didn't the Clippers do the same thing last season? They made it into the 2nd round...then next season failed to make it to the Big Dance?

    Good stuff.

Also...did anyone else watch that John Thompson interview with Stevie Jack. And for those that did, was I the only one who was secretly hoping Jack would try to fight John Thompson and get his *** beat by a 60-year-old man after he said "I think you're a thug...What do you think about that?"

OK...I'm still learning everyone's personalities over here, so I ask that you bear with me a bit.

If they add "cranky" to a category, and you want the award, I'll give you my vote as an olive branch. LOL.

Yeah I'm sure he would beat Jack's ***.

I think that if the Warriors had a low post scorer that their perminter shooting would become much more consistant.

BD showed what he can do when healthy. He had a monster playoff performance a few years back with the Hornets, averaged a triple double, or close to it. Stephen showed that he can play well too. He may be streaky but that is just one of his faults.

It should be interesting to see what moves the Warriors make. Chris Mullin will have to make some interesting moves in improving this roster. It's a tough task.

GS would not be the GS you see today if it had a low post game. A low post game is usually a prereq for success in the playoffs and you would think it should help them, but in this case it might change the dynamics so much that they actually become worse. It all depends on how the pieces fit.

I've seen enough conversations about the trade between "reasonable" Pacer fans to know it's clear as mud what the "reasonable" fan favors,

What the hell does this mean? Please explain, and I hope it doesn't mean what I think it means.
What do you think it means? It's a pretty simple, agenda free statement. I've seen people I consider fairly reasonable take either side of the argument both here and amongst my friends who are fans of the league.

I read your statement as a backslap against people who don't like the trade. The trade can be intelligently argued either way, so I just don't see a lot of credence to saying "reasonable fans see the positives".
