they can't suspend Amare. the dude was going to the scorer's table, which is a normal basketball occurrence.

I am absolutely shocked that Phoenix won this game. Shocked, and happy. The Suns are my second favorite team and my preseason pick to win the NBA title, and they just got homecourt advantage back. This could very well be the Colts/Pats type situation that's the turning point for Phoenix.

    Btw, nice call, Anthem.

Wait, what did Amare and Diaw do? I haven't watched the whole thing.
They may get a game for the "leaving the bench during a fight = suspension" rule. See Artest, Ron: Game 1, 2004: Boston Celtics @ Indiana Pacers.

Amare will be suspended. Remember Jalen Rose in 1998 game 4 against the Bulls - he left the bench and was near the scorers table and yes the pacers tried the excuse that the Suns will try (according to Craig Seager) that Amare was about to enter the game.

    Nash is great.

Gray: "You got up really quick. You looked like you might have wanted to go after [Horry]."

Nash: "Well, I've been working on the guns a little bit..."

Nash was going to give Horry a free ticket to the gun show....

I hope not. I get suspending players who leave the bench AND become involved, but when they don't make contact with anyone? Leave it be.

This series would be so much cooler if Nash and Manu still had long hair... seriously, Oberto just ain't getting it done.

difference is, Jalen had his feet on the court. Amare stayed on the sideline, and was nowhere near the scorer's table when the "fight" broke out. I remember that moment clearly.

Watch the play again, Amare clearly walked onto the floor when he first left the bench. Hopefully TNT will show it

...and that's an ejection and a suspension for game 5 for Horry. bye bye.
Richardson avoided suspension for way more dangerous foul on Okur, so I think Horry will be just fine.

Amare was at least 2 or 3 feet onto the court and you can see him quickly get onto the court. and the Suns assistant coaches should be fired because it it their job to keep the players in the bench area.

saw some big, unathletic white guy who probably hasn't dunked in this series .
He dunked twice in games 1-2. Weak argument.

On replay, it looked like Amare DID have a foot on the floor, but he was also the guy holding his other teammates back.

He was the first player to leave the bench. Watch the replay that focuses on the bench to begin the play - Amare pushed his way onto the court.

He had more than that. You have to piece together about 4 different replays. One angle alone doesn't show it.

Question: do the local teams show these playoff games or does TNT have exclusive coverage? There will be plenty of other angles from the local broadcasts.

(I feel I'm an expert of these type things as the pacers have at their share of these type things)

It definitely looks bad for Amare from what I've seen.

I'm so stoked the Phoenix got the win, but if the Suns lose both Diaw and Amare, which it appears they will, then this is the biggest injustice this post-season. Robert Horry stirs up the pot and the Suns pay the price. BULL$#!@. NBA needs to have a rule change that says each event is judged on it's own merit. These guys didn't get involved, didn't touch the mob and didn't make the situation worse. Unfortunately, the gestapo will screw the Suns most likely. Damn I'm steamed.

Yeah, that's some ****luck in regards to fate: Your team finally mans up and wins when it normally wouldn't have to re-gain home court heading home to try to go up 3-2, and now because of chuckles making a stupid-*** foul you're handicapped at the worst possible time.

If Amare and Diaw get suspended and only Horry gets suspended, I am going to have to take a long hard look at how I look at the NBA and my passion for it. The Spurs have been classless this series, yes its mainly been Bowen, but his actions have been more than enough for several teams. Seriously some of the fouls this playoffs have been downright dangerous. Bowen and JRich made it through without suspensions which makes me believe Horry will too. If Amare gets suspended it will be a sick day in the NBA.

The NBA has a lot of rules which don't factor common sense into the equation.

I'm thinking the NBA uses their "investigating Bowen's knee to nash's nuts" card to suspend bowen for game 5 as well.
