    Default Lakers/T-Wolves Game 1 Thread

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see the T-Wolves take Game 1. The Lakers have been inconsistent in their 1st two series and could come out flat in this game.

Of course that could just be wishful thinking...

Michael Olowakandi is playing VERY WELL against Shaq.....

The Kandi man has a chance to play decent against Shaq in this series. Heck, not only did he play against him on a regular basis when Kandi was with the Clips, they even shared the same home arena. So if he's intimidated by Shaq it won't be due to unfamiliarity.

So far this has been a very good NBA Championship game 1. I mean, Western Conference Championship.

I'd almost forgotten how often the Lakers flop around.

The Lakers played VERY well, the TWolves looked average, and its only a 2-point game.

    Does the mayor EVER miss?

Doug Collins on Kobe getting the phantom foul call: "That's why you have the star, to put pressure on the officials to blow the whistle"

Is this BS or what? Call the **** thing fairly and let the best team win! THAT'S what it's about!

Unfortunately for the Spurs, Amex commercials are the only place Duncan is practicing his game face until next season... :P

T-Wolves have cut it to a 4 point game

I don't know what the TWolves have been playing when they didn't have the ball tonight, but I don't think i'd call it defense........

If they keep this up, its going to be a VERY short series. That was a Dallas-esque defensive performance.

I think the Wolves will be better prepared next game.

    what a letdown.

The 'wolves have the capability to hang with them, yet get totally outhustled and outworked at home.

    groan.
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I would say that was a completely embarassing performance by the T-Wolves, they played it like a November regular season game, but I'll cut them some slack, as they did not have time to get back into mentally, or prepare.

But I don't think the Wolves have any answers for the Lakers.

Part of m,e hopes the Lakers sweep so they have alomst two weeks off before game #1 of the Finals. Let's see game 4 will be Thursday, and then game #1 of the Finals will be 11 days later.

The Lakers looked good that game. But I also think of the four remaining teams the Wolves had the least chance of winning the Championship. It was a disappointing game.
"They could turn out to be only innocent mathematicians, I suppose," muttered Woevre's section officer, de Decker.

"'Only.'" Woevre was amused. "Someday you'll explain to me how that's possible. Seeing that, on the face of it, all mathematics leads, doesn't it, sooner or later, to some kind of human suffering."

Shaq's a scary dude, when he pushes off it doesnt really look like he pushes off. Everyone around just falls down, bouncing off that behemoth like he was made of rubber, I have serious doubts about the hack a shaq strategy anymore, cause he will score even if you flagrant foul him.. And Kobe just looks like he is toying with everyone... WTH kinda shots were those?? Karl looked REALLY good on both ends IMO. They are scary team. It's gonna be tough for anyone to beat them.

I give the lakers more credit than I do the wolves for folding in that game.

Personally, I wanna see the Pacers vs Lakers now, It would be the perfect way to win the championship. No asterisks on that one.
