The Indianapolis Colts have been awarded compensatory choices in the third, fourth and fifth rounds of the April 28-29 NFL draft, the league announced Monday.

The Colts received the 98th, 136th and 173rd overall selections based on their net loss of three free agents in 2006. The compensatory picks are determined by a formula based on salary, playing time and postseason honors.
The Colts lost running back Edgerrin James, linebacker David Thornton, tackle Larry Tripplett and kicker Mike Vanderjagt and signed kicker Adam Vinatieri.
