    Default Congrats....

to Jamaal Tinsley on his career high tonight. Yeah we lost but things have gotten so bad for the team that I felt this might be a little tiny bit of sunshine for everyone. I know not everyone likes him but he had a career night tonight. I give him credit.

Let's hope he can keep it up, and some of his teammates can step up to help.

    Jamaal gave 110% tonight.

What was his previous career high? Had he even gone for 30 before?

I have to say congrats, and a special congrats on his durability. He's now played in more games than any season since 2002-2003. Quite a feat.

Woohoo, 90% of the defensive breakdowns were guys covering for him defensively. He doesn't play winning basketball. He may be best served to be an off the bench offensive spark, not a starting point guard, imho.

He plays "playground d" in that, from the limited amount of times I've seen him, he tries to play defense after letting the guy pass him - poking the ball way from behind, trying to catch up, challenging the shot...it's not that he doesn't play any (or worse, that he doesn't attempt to play d), but instead that his defense is not suitable for the NBA. Great shooting night yesterday though. LG33 is proud.

I think a career game for your PG involves a WIN first of all,

then 10+ assists, setting up your teammates, decent D, few turnovers, and general "floor leadership".

Personally he had a good scoring game, like AJ in the playoffs last year.

THIS MAY HELP HIS TRADE VALUE.

Just think If Dunleavy could hit a shot in the 4th quarter we might have won that game.

He made the passes for a lot of assists but he cant make them hit the shots.

Considering his contract, I suspect that is our best case scenario for next year with Jamaal: Split time with a young, talented point guard who is clearly a better defender than Mel Mel is now.

AJ's game is EXACTLY what I thought of.

The very best case scenario is Mel average 25 a game the rest of the way for trade value, the young guys play a ton, and the Pacers lose every game left and get a top 10 pick.

What will happen, the Pacers get the 8th seed, swept by Detroit, Mel plays 2 more games all year, ATL gets the Pacers 15th pick.

For all you Oden hopefuls, it sounds like he's seriously considering waiting until next year to come out. How anxious would you be to have a top 10 pick this year, and be absent from next year's draft? ah

I believe next years pick is top 5 protected as well.
