Default 20 games left. How will it play out?

    Here's the remaining schedule:

    3-13 @ Minnesota
    3-14 vs. Washington
    3-17 vs. Atlanta
    3-20 @ Houston
    3-21 @ San Antonio
    3-23 vs. Miami
    3-25 vs. Chicago
    3-27 vs. Cleveland
    3-28 @ New Jersey
    3-30 @ Orlando
    4-1 vs. San Antonio
    4-3 vs. Detroit
    4-6 @ Charlotte
    4-7 vs. Boston
    4-10 @ Philadelphia
    4-11 @ Milwaukee
    4-13 @ Miami
    4-15 vs. New Jersey
    4-17 @ Atlanta
    4-18 vs. Washington
Here's how I see it playing out:

    3-13 @ Minnesota - L
    3-14 vs. Washington - L
    3-17 vs. Atlanta - W
    3-20 @ Houston - L
    3-21 @ San Antonio - L
    3-23 vs. Miami - W
    3-25 vs. Chicago - W
    3-27 vs. Cleveland - W
    3-28 @ New Jersey - L
    3-30 @ Orlando - W
    4-1 vs. San Antonio - L
    4-3 vs. Detroit - L
    4-6 @ Charlotte - W
    4-7 vs. Boston - W
    4-10 @ Philadelphia - W
    4-11 @ Milwaukee - W
    4-13 @ Miami - L
    4-15 vs. New Jersey - W
    4-17 @ Atlanta - W
    4-18 vs. Washington - W
    That's a 12-8 finish, good for a 41-41 record.

Shade nothing would make me happier than if you were right. Unfortunatly, I also think it's wildly optimistic.

    3-13 @ Minnesota = L
    3-14 vs. Washington = L
    3-17 vs. Atlanta = W
    3-20 @ Houston = W
    3-21 @ San Antonio = L
    3-23 vs. Miami = W
    3-25 vs. Chicago = L
    3-27 vs. Cleveland = L
    3-28 @ New Jersey = L
    3-30 @ Orlando = W
    4-1 vs. San Antonio = L
    4-3 vs. Detroit = L
    4-6 @ Charlotte = W
    4-7 vs. Boston = W
    4-10 @ Philadelphia = L
    4-11 @ Milwaukee = L
    4-13 @ Miami = L
    4-15 vs. New Jersey = W
    4-17 @ Atlanta = W
    4-18 vs. Washington = L

8-12 and I still think THAT's too optimistic.

I predict the Pacers will lose their last 20 games and retain the 7th seed.
    Thats a joke, I think :O

I think they will fall out of the playoff and Bird will still keep Rick. In the off season Bird will trade more athletic players for slow white guys.

10-10, end up still getting the 8th seed. No way the Sixers can get to 4 games under from the 13 under they are right now. Orlando is done. NY and NJ remain the interesting cases to me.

Don't be surprised if Adam Morrison is a Pacer sometime in the near future.

I could see us going 11-9 during these final games, but at this point who cares, we will make the playoffs most likely, but one and done we will be. The team is a bore to watch and very predictable. I still love them, got my Pacers ADIDAS to prove it, but these Pacers need to be put out of their misery.

Because of our injury situation and general inconsistencies it always makes this a crapshoot, but here it goes:

    3-13 @ Minnesota L
    3-14 vs. Washington L
    3-17 vs. Atlanta W
    3-20 @ Houston L
    3-21 @ San Antonio L
    3-23 vs. Miami L
    3-25 vs. Chicago L
    3-27 vs. Cleveland L
    3-28 @ New Jersey L
    3-30 @ Orlando W
    4-1 vs. San Antonio L
    4-3 vs. Detroit L
    4-6 @ Charlotte L
4-7 vs. Boston W (although Paul Pierce is back...)
    4-10 @ Philadelphia W
    4-11 @ Milwaukee W
    4-13 @ Miami L
    4-15 vs. New Jersey L
    4-17 @ Atlanta W
    4-18 vs. Washington L

That leaves us going 6-14, taking us from 29-33 to 35-47. Just enough to either be the 8th seed or a no-pick lottery member.

I think I'm being optimistic as well; I could easily see us going 2-16 (beating Atlanta twice since Joe Johnson seems done for the year last I read) and ending up 31-51.

I hope if that happens, 31 wins is enough for 7th-worst record. I think that's the only way to guarantee a top-10 pick, in the extremely unlikely event that 3 teams with better records win the top-3 picks.

While I wouldn't be surprised if we won 10 games, I think it'll be more like 8. Those of you who think it'll be 3-4-5 must be on suicide watch.

The last week will get real interesting. Nets play us once and Knicks twice.
It's going to be a real battle of mediocrity at the end.
Don't thank me, I'll kill ya.

If JO and Marquis both come back within a week, I think we can go 8-12.

If not and we are without both for more than half of those 20 games, then I would pick 3-17 (home wins over Boston and Atlanta, miracle road win at Milwaukee):

    3-13 @ Minnesota - L
    3-14 vs. Washington - L
    3-17 vs. Atlanta - W
    3-20 @ Houston - L
    3-21 @ San Antonio - L
    3-23 vs. Miami - L
    3-25 vs. Chicago - L
    3-27 vs. Cleveland - L
    3-28 @ New Jersey - L
    3-30 @ Orlando - L
    4-1 vs. San Antonio - L
    4-3 vs. Detroit - L
    4-6 @ Charlotte - L
    4-7 vs. Boston - W
    4-10 @ Philadelphia - L
    4-11 @ Milwaukee - W
    4-13 @ Miami - L
    4-15 vs. New Jersey - L
    4-17 @ Atlanta - L
    4-18 vs. Washington - L

We'll stink it up for another 4 or 5 games then slowly start playing better, but we'll miss the playoffs.

It's definitely in the "highly likely" scenario category.

Zeke just got a contract extension for his effort, and to be honest he seems to have earned it. He's done a lot more with the Knicks than Brown did. They've already won 6 more games than last year and appear to be on pace to make the improvement closer to 15 by the end of the season.

I'm as big an Isiah critic as there is, but you have to give the guy credit on this one.

People got on him for the Curry trade, but EC is at an ADJ FG% of .581 and is scoring 19 a game. His PPS is at 1.58!!!! That's superstar range.

Lee was a great pick and while Frye isn't a star you can look at their picks of 8 and 30 that year and figure that with Lee/Frye they got their picks' worth of talent in total. While Balkman is no star, he is getting regular PT (13 mpg and playing nearly every game) which is a good sign for a late first round pick. He's even worked Collins into games.

I thought Isiah was headed right into a tree with this situation, but he's turned it around somehow.

Anyway, back to the Pacers and the final 20, I'm pounding it into the ground, the 2 games to watch are the NEW JERSEY games. Huge as it stands right now. Those could make or break the season.

I'm completely confortable predicting 3-17. I'm also comfortable saying they could go 0-20 the rest of the way.

But I really see us finishing with the #11 pick.

I think the over under is 5. I really do. JO is going for another MRI - who knows he could miss the rest of the season. Daniels is very iffy to play again this season.

Except for the one great game he had against the Pacers at Conseco, Morrison has been a huge disappointment. I hope we don't get him. A lineup of Troy, Mike and Adam, and Tinsley - might be the worst defensive lineup in the history of basketball - And I'm counting 3rd grade girls basketball also.
Wait, I had heard that Quis was only going to be out 2-3 more games.

I totally expected Morrison to be a huge disappointement. (watch him become an allstar now)
