Free agent RB Dominic Rhodes reached agreement Friday morning on a two-year, $7.5 million contract with the Oakland Raiders.
Well Dominic, thanks for all that you did here. Best of luck.

ESPN is saying his deal could be worth as much as $7.5 million.

If it is 7.5 million, Oakland overpaid.

I don't know about that. Whatever Randy Moss makes is way too much for what that does.

RB's of his level are only worth $3mm+ a year? That makes NBA players seem spoiled to me.

I'm glad for him. I hope he got the most mone he could out of that playoff run he had for us. I don't think he'll consistently be that good, though.

They are. Their salary cap is about 2X/player what the NFL cap is, their cap is close to meaningless while the NFL's is pretty much a hard cap and - gasp - after an NFL player signs a contract he can actually be cut and the team doesn't have to pay him.

Imagine the chaos in the NBA if players actually had to perform to keep getting paid millions? Or, God forbid, if they had a cap that was actually a cap?

I really wish the NBA had a similar system as the NFL in regards to contracts as well as salary caps.
