Default All Star Weekend: Saturday Night

So, any predictions for the contests tonight??

In the dunk contest we have Nate Robinson, Gerald Green, Tyrus Thomas, and Dwight Howard. Personally, I feel as if Green should walk away with this one fairly easily as long as he doesn't mess up.

The skills challenge will feature Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Chris Paul. With his combination of agility, speed, and talent, I'm picking Wade to repeat.

Finally, the three point contest consists of Dirk Nowitzki, Gilbert Arenas, Damon Jones, Mike Miller, Jason Kapono, and Jason Terry. This contest is the one I'm looking forward to most. I think Mike Miller wins narrowly over Dirk before getting traded to the Pacers at the beginning of next week.

Kapono is shooting a ridiculous percentage from 3 this season.. He's my pick as well.

How can Kapono win if he isn't shooting?
(Question directed to those who picked Kapono)

Ok so he is shooting. I'll take Arenas tho. I could see him pulling a Bird, "So which one of you is coming in second."

Dunk Contest - Tyrus Thomas (he has to make up for his comments - plus, he is okay with the basket at 10 feet)
Skills Challenge - LBJ (why not?)
Three Point Shootout - I'm a big fan of Jet (Not Kenny Smith), but I also like "Magic" Mike Miller

I'll have the sound off and play on the computer while the dunk contest is going on, totally not interested in that. I'''' watch everything else.

Get ready for something sick from Gerald Green. Like, something nasty. I just wish he could be in the three-point contest as well. I love this kid's game.

I don't know if it's this way for you, but I love Paul Pierce, Delonte West, Ryan Gomes...basically any Celtic player that Tommy Heinsohn wants me too...I don't know why. Maybe it's because that's the only team I can watch on a regular basis, but either way, I'm ashamed of myself.

    Well, that makes perfect sense.

I love them too. Mostly because Paul only misses shots where he is obviously fouled. Delonte only plays poorly when he's sick or injured somehow even though WE can't see it, and Ryan...woah, don't get me started on Ryan. Pretty sure he leads the Celts in Tommy pts/48 mins.

I don't know for sure. I was hoping it would be before the 3 point and dunk contests, we'll see.

It would be nice to see the Pacers in this shooting stars thing with Reggie, Tameka Catchings, and either JO or Granger.

I doubt we'll see that though.
