Default Colts on AM radio... WHAT??

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel/believe that Colts games being broadcasted on AM radio is taking a step back? I know that the Colts went for the large bags of cash that Emmis Communications was offering, but going from glorious and clear FM radio back to the poor signal quality of AM radio makes no sense. I know how hard it is to get a Pacers game on 1070am and I live in Indianapolis.

The sad thing is...Emmis Communications has sports on FM, heck IU basketball in on FM, but not the Colts....Whatever.

I think they're also going to be on Hank FM (97.1)? At least I thought I heard/read that somewhere.....

    Edit:

Colts games FM wise are being moved from 94.7 to 97.1 FM

And Hank 97.1 doesn't freaking stream.

Well, that being the case. Better! I just got done listening to the Pacers call in show on 1070am and they were talking up the, "new home of the Colts, 1070 WIBC" ..Right now, 1070 has the Colts radio network call of the super bowl on.

Roam, as most Colts games are on during the day WIBC won't be difficult to get in the area. I used to get it up in Fort Wayne during the day. After sundown - they have to drop their power and I know places like Fishers, east Carmel and Noblesville - can't get WIBC.

The Colts are broadcast on Louisville's WHAS 840am which is a 50,000 clear channel station. As long as there is no conflict with an event they want to broadcast more, such as a local basketball game, this is probably your best bet at night since WIBC basically has no nighttime coverage.

Q-95 is the most powerful FM station in the state of Indiana. It is definitely a blow to lose them, however.
