That's interesting...Mo Peterson in hot water, Jose Calderon a backup - for a starter and a big (huge, really) man. That would be hard to pass up on. If they want Tinsley, that is. From our perspective, I like it, I think.

I'm really not sure though. God, this is a tough one - but I guess that's a sign of a great trade.

why do the raptors want this trade? could someone talk me through it? i mean from our perspective we get what seems to be a talented albeit NBA-inexperienced PG and a solid deep shooter and a decent defender. but why would they want to move him? they want to move MoPete, no doubt. but what do they gain by moving a young, talented PG for a slower, starting-caliber PG and a big (when they have Bosh, Nesterovic, Bargnani, Sow and Humphries as young talented/developing bigs)?

also lets look at our lineup following this trade...

    Calderon/Armstrong/Greene/McLeod
    Peterson/Daniels/Marshall
    Granger/Dunleavy/Williams
    O'Neal/Diogu/Baston
    Murphy/Foster

the murphy/foster part seems thin, considering both of their histories with injuries. but apart from that, i kinda like that lineup.

the biggest issue to me is why toronto would do this.
    This is the darkest timeline.

I cant see the Raps doing it. They are already paying Ford starter money at the PG spot and want to play an uptempo style, something the Harrison isn't really suited to. They take on a heap of salary and have 2 PGs who both would want to start.

I'd like to get Calderon and to a lesser extent MoPete, but I cant see Toronto wanting any piece of Tins, let alone trading away 2 good pieces for him.

Let's not forget the personal beef between Tinsley and Fred Jones...

I could see the Raps doing this. Harrison offers a bigger body thathas already gone to the Playoffs and knows how to prepare. Tinsley would give Toronto a point guard that with the parts as they are currently he would fit into and become a cog instead of trying to be a sprocket.
